Had our wedding on the island many moons ago and the Lindisfarne is dear to us as this is where we had the reception. Have not visited in recent years, as always take the dogs now and self cater. However, popped in to try out Oswalds for lunch the other day as the menu looked good. Greeted by the proprietor...

Well what can I say, I stayed at the Lindisfasrne Hotel on Holy Island 3 or 4 years ago just after Sean & Jackie took it over, they are just as friendly as ever. Be warned, do not get mixed up with the Lindisfarne Inn at Beal! They don't even tell people they're on the A1, not on Holy Island!...

We don't live too far from Holy Island (Lindisfarne) so are fortunate that we can often just go over for the day. We much prefer the island when all the visitors have gone but this depends upon tide times.
This time we decided to book an overnight stay as a surprise for our daughter and after reading reviews on TA...

Just back from a very last minute short break on Holy island. We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and can honestly say it was a little gem of a place. We booked on the morning of travel and were given the last room. Sean (who sang a short rendition of “Tonight, Tonight” from West side Story when I...

We promised to take our grandchildren away for a weekend and what better place than Holy Island. After reading reviews we decided to book the Lindisfarne Hotel. My initial contact was via email but then spoke to Sean over the phone and must say he was extremely friendly Upon arrival Sean greeted us, was very welcoming and joked with the...

We tried the new bistro called Oswald's @ the Lindisfarne Hotel last Thursday. In lovely sunshine we sat on the terrace and perused the new menu. All the food is home made and absolutely delicious and worth waiting for. Top quality and beautifully presented. Well done to Karen And Joanne at Oswald's and to Sean and Jackie who own the...

Two years ago my husband Gordon and I went to Lindisfarne for the day and liked it so much decided to stay over night. We were directed to Lindisfarne Hotel by a local barman, the best decision ever. As a result of the warm hospitality by Sean, Jackie and Jack, we have been back on several occasions since with our...

On hearing that Gordon and I had four bald tyres on the Audi and wanted to visit Holy Island after Xmas and New Year, Sean arranged to have a brand new IX 35 Hyundai 1.6 GDI delivered to our door to allow us to cross the causeway to visit again soon.
As usual, he warned us of the tide times,...

What a joy, when one of your favourite places is even better each time you go. There’s a special magic about Holy Island: the light; the constant variety of climate; the tranquillity; a place ‘Where prayer has been valid’. And there’s a special magic about the Lindisfarne Hotel too: the most welcoming accommodation; hugely more comfortable since Sean and Jackie...
