Not much to say really - fairly average and standard fare - the modern rooms are tired; I was tired because the mattress was done in; the food was OK; the service in the bar and at breakfast was very average, but much better at reception, diunner and cleaners. The massage at the adjacent spa was superb, but the spa... More

Hotel looks stunning from the outside, also in reception bar and restaurant. Full public places are immaculate.Drinks rather expensive in bar. nearly £9 for a Bulmers and vodka and coke(take plenty money with you.we had bar meal, just a hot sandwich but it was delicious and a dencent price (£6).Breakfast was buffet style, serve yourself everything including tea, coffee and toast. But was a nice... We stayed here for 2 nights on a KGB deal- the first one we have ever done. I felt we might be treated as 2nd class citizens but this was certainly not the case. From the moment we checked in we were treated with politeness and in a friendly way. We were given an upgrade to our room which was... More

We held our wedding here may 11th. The service we have had from the day we booked it has been second to none thanks to Claire and rachel. We had exec suite which was really lovely. Our day was well organised and we were looked after at all times. The meal was brilliant during the day along with the buffet... More

Stayed here in early March 2012 with a Travelzoo deal which proved to be excellent value for money. The package comprised of 2 nights accommodation with breakfast and dinner on 1 evening plus a bottle of wine with the meal. Cost was £119 which was really good value. The hotel is comfortable and extremely clean but is showing more signs... More

Stayed here for business conference which the hotel also does. Amazing grounds and the old parts of the hall amazing as well. Unfortunately the bathrooms could do with a update - they look a bit tied. Food was OK. Staff were friendly. Free wifi but not into the rooms unfortunately. Rooms have irons and boards as well as trouser presses... More

Booked through golf breaks.com four freinds on a four day break Dinner Bed and Breakfast with daily golf for a highly competitive £280 a head. Rooms fine with soft but comfortable beds. I asked for an upper sheet which duly came and cleaning and servicing good. Flat screen TV and tea coffee in the room with daily bottled water and... More

We booked 4 rooms via a KGB deal for a 2 night stay - and having read a number of earlier reviews, we were a little apprehensive. Being a 'family' break for parents and siblings, we had to make contact with the hotel a number of times pre-stay to add rooms, reserve others, book spa, etc and each time the... More

The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds. The room situated on the upper floor was quiet, comfortable and clean. The only minor gripe is that there is no wi-fi in the room. On our last stay the breakfast staff were unwelcoming and service was not great. I am pleased to say that on this visit the breakfast staff were helpful... More

Purports to be rather superior, but isn't. Longest walk from car park to reception with no cover, can't even load/unload car boot under cover. Main Restasurant OK but Breakfast room scruffy and very much downmarket. Room adequate but far from 'superior', one chair only, bathroom tap defective and no extract. More
