Millyard house was recommended to us, and now we know why. Bob and Ginny met us with scones and tea, which after a days walk is always welcome, and had time to talk. They have thought of everything guests need, and the sherry and chocolates were a lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent and nothing too much trouble. I would not... More

Great trip to Millyard house. Just of the main road into Wooler, tucked away 2 minutes from high street . Fabulous hosts Bob and Ginny. Lovely fresh breakfasts - recommend anytime . Lovely break will certainly go back. Thank you or the hand made chocolates - and even a wee glass of sherry if u fancy!

My apologies in taking time to write this review but what more can be said of this excellent place run by Bob and Ginny that's contained in the many reviews. My wife and I stayed here 28/30th March and was a Christmas present from one of our daughters who took up the offer of stay 2 nights and the third... More

Ginny and Bob are excellent hosts and the perfect couple for the service they offer. The scone and tea on arrival was so welcome. They pay the best attention to detail and have clearly considered extremely carefully what their guests need. The furnishings are very tasteful and we had a very enjoyable stay. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Yet again we stayed with Bob and Ginny, wonderful hosts, always keen to find out what been up to since last visit and what plans are for present visit, always ready with suggestions of where to go, very knowledgeable about area. Sconea and tea welcome treat once unpacked. Breakfasts as good as always, set you up for day ahead. Really... More

We stayed at this excellent B&B last year and decided to return there for a long weekend last month. What a treat! Bob and Ginny are friendly and attentive hosts, the room was spotless and charmingly furnished. We enjoyed the sherry and handmade chocolates and having a flask of 'proper' milk for our tea. The breakfasts are delicious - as... More

This was our second visit to Millyard House and I shouldn't imagine it will be our last (especially since the weather has thus far prevented us from trekking up the Cheviot). It's a bit like a challenge to see whether Ginny and Bob have missed some small detail. I've failed thus far. Everything is provided to make your stay as... More

At the risk of doing ourselves out of somewhere brilliant to stay I must tell you about this place. We've just stayed for 3 nights, and in spite of the snow and cold, we had a wonderful time. The rooms are lovely, the breakfasts to die for (try the bubble and squeak cakes!) and Bob and Ginny are as helpful... More

This is a lovely place to stay; secluded, spotless, every detail thought of, everything in working order and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable and cosy with lovely cotton bedding and a powerful hot shower. The hosts are friendly and conversational but not intrusive and seem good at reading guests' signals about how much interaction they want. Attentive and helpful and... More

We stayed here in July 12 and were very impressed by the genuine hospitality and welcome from the owners. We had an outstanding breakfast (none better anywhere) in a delightful conservatory looking out into a secluded cottage garden. Highly recommended - we shall definitely return.
