Very friendly and extremely welcoming, I found it hard to get out of bed as they were so comfy and warm, the breakfast was out of this world with real sausage and a great selection of cerials and the added choice of brown or white toast, we are a gay couple and were treat with great respect and kindness, an... Large family room, was on main road side which we thought might be noisy but it didn't disturb us, nice en-suite, clean. Owner couldn't do enough for us, even getting up early to give us breakfast at a very early hour, booked again for next month. Our first stay in Worksop last year was at a Travelodge which was awful... More

We stayed in the top-floor, family suite. A double bed, and a twin on either side. Very clean; mattresses and linens good quality. Extra pillows provided and very appreciated. Delicious tea and biscuits provided. Plentiful pristine towels, nice evening lighting made for a cozy nest for our family on a very chilly February night. However, the room had a hard... More

We travelled from Skegness & stayed over a weekend for a family wedding in the area. We found the room very comfy clean & warm on a bleak November weekend. The location is handy, just a short stroll into the quaint market town. The owner was very welcoming & helpful with local information & sent us off with a hearty... More

We spent a coupe of nights here (a Saturday & Sunday and didn't notice any particular street noise) - the room was spacious and had all facilities - it was clean, comfortable and friendly. We tried both continental & full breakfast and both were really good. The owner even took us to the station when we were going back! Would... More

Shoddy, tired, magnolia decor. What is in the room, is to the cheapest 'specification'. Worn out bed, no wi-fi in all but the room above the owner. Broken floorboards under the worn carpets. Road noise/vibration woke me up a few times. Glad to leave.

We stayed only for one night, found the room to be anything you can reasonably demand from a decent B&B. Owner was a great help and provided a good friendly breakfast. Lots of noice from the busy road however on this saturday night, bed was ok but not tops.

We stayed overnight to attend a wedding in the vicinity. The Guest House is basic, don't expect grandeur or frills but all is clean and tidy and in working order. Acorn Lodge is all about customer service. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the owner - he even offered to drive us... More
