Faringdon is a nice little village with several pubs all seeming to have a history from during the Civil War and they all seem to have information about this on the walls. Very nice touch. From the centre there is a great bus service on nice new buses to Swindon and Oxford. If you're a Twirly you can use your... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights at Easter having been to the excellent Lambourn open day on Good Friday. The staff were efficient and unfussy on arrival and check in was swift. The room was spacious and very clean with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The tv was old and a bit of a disappointment although the selection... More

we booked the Sudbury House Hotel for an anniversary weekend... we arrived to a welcoming reception, however on arrival in our room, we were very disappointed. the room was dark, with an old divan bed, very poor mattress and the two armchairs would not have looked out of place in a junk shop. we complained to reception who offer the... Free wifi and decent shower. Breakfast was nice, not a vast selection but what was there was good and with a Very efficient service. Slightly strange room... More

Stayed here for 2 nights recently when it was the same price as the local Travelodge. Hotel was easy to find and close to local town. There is a lift which was good as we were on second floor as requested and the stairs were quite steep. We went into town for our evening meals- the local indian in Faringdon... More

I arrived late in the evening but the reception was good. The room was very average, the bed uncomfortable for me and there was noise from a water tank close by as well as for people getting up for work from about 5.30am. My morning paper had been "forgotten." Breakfast was reasonable but the staff made me feel as though I was... More
