This hotel is exactly what you pay for if you just want a nights sleep after a long journey. My partner and I always stay here when we visit Alton Towers as it is a good 3 hour + drive from our home and after a long day this hotel is fine. It's not the nicest of Travelodge's we have... More

The worst Travelodge I have visited, or at least room 212 was. Very worn and dirty. Bed had a rock hard, cheap mattress. Sofa and chair were grubby and stained, light fittings were badly fitted. Shower was awful, patience and degree in twiddling needed to get temp and flow acceptable. Fittings dirty and of poor standard. Formica desk bubbled and... More

Ideally located for a stay from Alton towers I would say you pay for what you get. It is very much a place where you unpack, have a coffee and go to bed. Very little to do, as it is located near a services, but only 5 mins down the road there is Stone, where we had a lovely meal... More

My family and I broke a long journey from London to Liverpool at this Travelodge and we really can't complain. We got a good rate for two family rooms by bookign in advance and on arrival we were greeted by a friendly helpful gentleman. The rooms were fine - nothing special but clean and relatively comfortable, pretty much exactly what... More

Spent an overnight here recently. We were greeted by a cheerful and very pleasant young man at reception. Have to admit, this wouldn't be the cleanest hotel we've ever been in. However we were tired and weary having attended a rugby match earlier in the evening so we just wanted to get some sleep. Room was basic, as is the... More

I booked this travelodge a few days before arrival and paid £19. I needed to break my journey and was pretty tired by the time I got there. I parked right outside and went to M&S next door to buy some food. I was greeted by a very friendly, cheerful man on reception. My room was on the first floor.... More
