Comfy and clean, it was a great place to stay with the dogs. Help-yourself breakfast which was fine. Tea and coffee, fresh milk for those. Only downside for me was instant coffee - i would have loved to have been able to make a little cafetiere!

I chose Abacus because it had kitchen facilities and WiFi. It meant I wasnt reliant on the local takeaway restaurants, of which there are plenty. The accommodation came with the use of a full kitchen, which is appealing and a real bonus for those of us who don't want to live on take-aways every night. The approach to Abacus is some distance along a appalling road/track owned by the Military. Finding myself stranded in Blackwater, I came across Abacus B&B on an internet search. I was made to feel instantly welcome with the offer of food and drink. Would definitely recommend. Good value too.
