Sunday 19th May 2103 - Set in a beautiful location nestled down a typical country lane. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. The outside and inside decor had a well thought out country/homely feel, especially, enjoyed the humorous quotes in the garden, nice touch! Food was superb! Would highly recommend. Look forward to returning shortly.

My husband and I had lunch here- we had been before, but not recently. My husband had Gurnard with a mussel sauce and I had chicken with chorizo, chickpeas and wilted spinach. My husband remarked that his fish was 'over-seasoned' - I tried it- it was so salty- totally overpowering- so much so that he couldn't eat it. The rest of... More

This place proves that publicans who go out of business only have themselves to blame. Despite being off the beaten track without a car park, Horseguards is always heaving. The food, atmosphere and service is always superb. I just hope they can keepit up because it looks like hard work!

Literally cannot say anything bad about the pub. Food amazing, drinks amazing, decor amazing, beautiful part of the world, wonderfully friendly staff. Will be back next year for our wedding anniversary again, but won't be able to wait that long to visit :)

We dined here for our wedding anniversary. Its not the first or the last time. On arrival was greeted warmly by all the staff. The atmosphere was lovely. Candles light and a roaring fire. Our mistake was not booking, but luckerly a table was free, I do suggest to book as a very popular place to dine. We ordered our... More

I took my girlfriend here for a birthday lunch after a walk in Petworth Park. To be honest we couldn't fault it at all. Great food (good portions), friendly service and at a reasonable cost. We will be coming here again!

A cosy and inviting inn. Quaint individual touches to the decor create a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are helpful and attentive without being intrusive and the casual, self-expressive vibe gives the Horse Guards their own unique style. Luscious, rustic food a range of real ale and scrumpy! Recommend the desserts, especially if they have the ginger sponge... More
