Ian was the perfect host. The location was stunning, the walks around the area were spectacular. The room was as we expected but was set in beautiful grounds. Our only negative was the bedroom needed a spring clean. Overall pleased.

My husband & I stayed here recently for 2 nights & stayed in the "Wentworth Room"
We were the only people staying in the cottage at the time & enjoyed relaxing around the fire after lots of walking through the mountains. I'm not sure that we would have enjoyed it had other people booked out the other 2 rooms unless...

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here last weekend. Ian had prepared everything we needed for a perfect and hassle-free weekend getaway. A generous (self-cook) breakfast, a wood fire, plenty of books, advice on walks and a lush garden all hit the spot. The cottage is quaint - a bit like staying with Grandma in some respects -...

This was our first time and we will definitely come here again. The cottage and amenities were exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and picturesque. Each rooms has its own bathroom and is well presented. There are lots of books and games and the kitchen is fully equipped. A large fruit platter is offered, and a wide breakfast selection....

I have stayed at Monique's a dozen times over the past 10 years. It is only on my last visit that I noticed a Trip Advisor sticker on the cottage door. I decided to look up the reviews when I got home.
The negative reviews written early last year were probably fair, but seem no longer relevant. The exterior seems...

Good space for rooms, living area, kitchen. But the house needs a big makeover to uncover its beauty. Spring cleaning is needed, garden is required and furnishings should be overhauled. Host Ian was very nice though.
Ian the host was very friendly, polite, helpful and approachable. The accommodation itself is somewhat dated and the rooms need a VERY good clean - far too many cobwebs and spiders in the room as well as many in the bathroom. Whilst we appreciate that you get spiders in Australia, there were far too many of them. There is also...

We happened upon this hidden gem of a B&B and were warmly welcomed by our host Ian Williamson. He showed us the unique back trails to the tourist attractions, thereby avoiding the crowds. The B&B itself is so unique, a lovely English cottage, comfy, cozy with a wonderful collection of jazz music. A must for all travellers.
I've had good luck in B&Bs in different parts of the world and Moniques is one of the nicest I've found. My wife and I went for our honeymoon after spending 5 days in Sydney we were ready for some R&R. Mr. Ian the proprieter asked up front what kind of food we wanted for breakfast -- bacon? wheat or...
