We stayed 2 nights at the Bears Went Over the Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was certainly clean and comfortable despite the hundreds of bears decorating it (I'm not so much into teddy bears). Our room also had a little enclosed verandah which was wonderful for picking up the aftenoon sun and warmed the room up beautifully.... More

Unfortunately I had the same awful experience as the poor people who also have rated this accomodation as extremely bad. My elderly mother and I arrived - also after a long days drive to find accomodation had not been arranged as what had been confirmed via internet 5 months prior! When we questioned why this was so, the female owner... More

A last minute decision to stay locally after a trip to Tahune air walk. I wish we had driven the 100 kms back to Hobart. Decor kitch and cluttered, food average good if you have special dietary needs and like cardboard, hostess overly efficient, rooms clean but basic. Potential unrealised in Geeveston.

What a find, we followed the sign and spent a delightful night at this wonderful B & B. Our hosts were great, we had a special delicious dinner prepared for us. The room was great with everything you needed and special touches with the tea leaves and plunger coffee!

Having read your reviews (albeit my husband is Indonesian) & we saw the racist nonsense by a previous reviewer & we can only say we find this damaging review to be absolute rubbish! My husband & I we treated no differently to anyone who stayed/lunched in this lovely spot, we were welcomed, shown, advised & with much grace & patience... More
