We had the privilege of staying at Old Wesleydale for two nights during our April holiday to Tasmania this year. What can I say. WOW. As you drive up the long driveway you can see the old Georgian house peeping out from the surrounding trees, drystone walls and wonderful elephant hedge. You can feel the history drawing you in and... More

We agree with all the comments previously posted. This property and surrounds are a credit to Deb & Scott. The only thing we found disappointing was that the advertised full breakfast provisions for us were just 4 eggs and 6 slices of bread to last for a 3 night stay for 2 persons, thus leaving us in the embarrassing "Oliver... A fantastic location for touring, as we were doing, or that 'special' occasion. Friendly owners, marvellous accommodation. All furnishings in keeping with the age. Take a walk around the pond and play 'spot the platypus'. Great spot to embark on day trips to Launceston and Cradle Mountain. Is it possible to score a property 6 out of 5 - yes... More

The owners Deb and Scott have done a fantastic job restoring this 1830 farm house into a very comfortable self contained apartment. Everything about the whole place is fantastic. From the moment you drive up the long driveway you gain a feeling of history that just gets better as you discover other aspects of the establishment like platypus and swans... More

We were awed by the stone fences, out-buildings and eccentricity of the place. Chooks roaming around, beautiful caged birds and glamorous tin ducks. Quite unique!! Great breakfast provisions, fluffy towels, romantic log fire, and great bed. The owners have obviously spent a great deal of money, thought and time in refurbishing the cottage and the quality shows. A very enjoyable... More

What a lovely spot. The photos on the website when I booked do not begin to do this place justice. Anyone traveling to Tasmania should treat themselves to at least a couple of nights here. Everything about Old Wesleydale is glorious, the room, the garden, the history, the home made bread and eggs from their own chooks for breakfast, I... More

This accommodation was the best we encountered on our two weeks in Tasmania. The Georgian mansion has been lovingly restored by its current owners, Deb and Scott, who have done a lot of work to bring it up to its current standard. The B&B is a little self-contained cottage attached to the main building, there is only one cottage on... More
