Stayed here overnight recently. Booked into a roadside room as we arrived at 9pm and were leaving by 9am the next morning. Room cost $99 and was old but clean and had everything you need for an overnight stop. Good quality linen as well. Staff were friendly on check out and helpful in advising where to go for breakfast. The...

We drove from Hobart to Swansea along the East Coast on a Sunday afternoon with no expectation of whether or not we would find accommodation. We drove into the town, saw the motor inn and the fabulous views and booked in. Easy. Cost was $135 a night for an apartment with sea view without breakfast. An appt. on the road...

We selected this motel after studying the reviews of all hotels, lodges, resorts in the vicinity of Freycinet National Park. Our final choice was based on location and cost. We chose a beachfront twin, as reviewers raved about the views from these rooms. Our room (13) was a clean, spacious well appointed motor inn room, with a queen and single...

Part of the Motor Inn faces the beach and inlet, and part faces the main road. I had a room facing the beach - great view. Small sheltered patio area - ideal for a relaxing breakfast. A very pleasant room with fridge & toaster. The inn has no restaurant, and many restaurants in the town seem to close early. This...

We arrived to a friendly receptionist, clean room & a wonderful view. A sleepy seaside town, Swansea doesnt offer much in the way of entertainment however for a breif overnight stop between Launceston & Hobart it is definantly worth a look.
The room was spacious and well set out. Decor was simple, slightly dated but still very comfortable. All amenities...

The room was ground floor and facing the water, which was nice (although there is no beach, sand or surf - just brackish sea water). It was clean, spacious, quite and comfortable. Swansea doesn't have a lot to offer, but we found the Swansea Motor Inn to be the best value close (about a 45 minute drive) to Freycinet National...

Our room, although the decor was rather dated, was clean & comfortable, rooms were spacious.
All that you could need for an overnight stay.

Swansea is a small seaside town with not a lot of scope for accommodation.
I have rated this Motor Inn as "terrible" for the following reasons:
The receptionist on duty gave us a key to view a potential room. On entry the bed looked slept in, and there were dirty dishes on a side table. When advised of the condition...

We stayed for 2 nights and were very pleased with our room which was spacious and clean with a lovely view over the bay. The bathroom was a bit dated but perfectly serviceable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations as to where to eat.
