With my parents' home overflowing with guests at Christmas time, my family needed a place to stay in Salem. We stayed at The Timberlanes Inn while in the Salem Ohio Area for mid-week business seminars. Timberlanes is under NEW OWNERSHIP and NEW MANAGEMENT. Reservations were made over the phone: they were courteous, informative, and truthful. Late check-in was 'no problem'. Even though this is not a new facility, it is nicely and tastefully kept. I recently had my wedding at timberlanes...yes it is old..and yes you can tell its old..it's not incredibly upgraded and it could use some work but I truly liked it! The rooms in which the wedding was were gorgeous...again they are old but it was beautiful just the same. The staff is all friendly and wonderful. The rooms are cozy.... More

I had to stay in or near Salem and this was all I could find. Other reviews weren't exactly glowing, but I didn't expect this! The building seems to be a 60's motel with a new facade. I was skeptical about booking a room at the Timberlanes Inn from the moment I went to its Website: Although the Website is exceptionally well done and has tons of information, it has only one picture of the rooms (just a close up of the bed).
