Our stay at the Oregon Trail Motel was very nice, but would have been nicer in the summer time; it was very windy that weekend. ;0{ The whole town was very friendly, The staff at the Oregon Trail Motel is family ran was pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were clean offered extra towels, beds were comfortable (foam mattresses). The rooms... More

Baker City is a cute town and the story that this motel was bult for the cast and crew of the 60's movie, Paint Your Wagon is fun. There's a public path along the creek that runs behing the motel that's an enjoyable walk. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. Heat worked fine. There's a breakfast voucher, but... More

The Oregon trail motel was clean, for sure. Bedding was clean. The matress was a memory foam atop a frame with a single ply wood. Mostly but not completely Overnight check of the matresses showed no invasive species such as bed bugs or spiders, however, the room was very cold. We could not get the heat adjusted to a comfortable... More

We spent the night here in August 2011, after researching hotels for our road trip. If you like vintage 1960's, in quaint old mining towns, then you might give this a try. Hotel sits beside the Powder River, which I could listen to if I opened the bathroom window. The staff is friendly, helpful and the coffee is brewing in... More

We visit Baker City every year or two and stay at the Oregon Trail. It's still a great value. Positives: coffee service starts at 4:00 a.m. (we are early risers), price! It's the same as it was two years ago. They take dogs, AND only charge $5 for them. The breakfast and service provided at the restaurant next door. Yes,... More

We were traveling with our adult daughter and two children, so needed 3 beds. Our room was on the second story and involved some luggage hauling, but it was ideal for us. The main room had two queens, refrig, microwave, small TV, and a table with 3 chairs. Off the main room was a separate bedroom with its own TV.... More

You get what you pay for. It might not be the fanciest place but it's very reasonably priced and the customer service is excellent. More

We have stayed here for about 8 or 9 years coming and going from Utah to Washington State. The price is right and at first, it was the best deal around with clean rooms, low price and a good breakfast. We even recommended it to family. The last 4 encounters with this place, haven't lived up to the past experiences.... More

This is the 2nd time we stayed at the OTM...PLEASE do not believe any of the phony reviews, they are either disgruntled employees or people who have a gripe with the owners. This place is older..that is true..but it also has MEGA charm!! After travelling for days with the kids and staying at "chain hotels" I was so glad to have gotten... More

This is an older motel with permanent residences. We selected from internet,, bad idea. Was fairly clean, but rather creepy. The best thing was breakfast. Would recommend motel restaurant for dinner or breakfast. Food is limited in this town. More
