We had not been completely convinced by its website pictures and information when we booked but on arrival found the Salmon Room and its siting to be very pleasant indeed. The facilities in Dayville are limited but we certainly endorse the complimentary reviews about the Fish Inn that are on the Tripadvisor site. Well recommended! More

Me and my Busch Brothers stayed the night in the main house and it was fantastic. The owner and his helper were the best. We played golf nearby and afterwards we were very over heated, the guy that was cleaning the rooms gave us permission to use his house to access the river to cool off. Now thats customer service... We wanted to see the John Day Fossil Beds and the Painted Hills and Planned a trip to the area with the intent to stay at an Oregon State Campground near John Day. Even though we were coming from Prineville, which is only a few hours drive, this was a Vacation and we wanted to "Get Away". We had passed... More

My husband and I very much enjoyed a one night stay in the cottage. Owners couldn't be nicer. Comfortable, clean and quiet. A great value More

We stopped here for a night while visiting the Sheep Rock unit of John Day Fossil Bed National Monument. The campground caters mainly to RVers, but they offer tent camping too for $15. The tent sites aren’t defined; we were told to pitch our tent wherever we wanted on the large expanse of grassy lawn. We chose a spot set... More

The small town of Dayville is located about 15 minutes from the Sheep Rock Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds. This RV park is a great place to spend a night or even longer while visiting the fossil beds and enjoying the surrounding areas. It is very small - only six spaces. The spaces are all back-ins, long and... More

We only stayed one night at the Fishhouse Inn but wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful grounds, very clean rooms and cozy. The town of Dayville is a sleepy little town, with very friendly locals, but lacks a restaurant and provides with minimal grocery supplies. I would stay again, but will bring my own food supplies. Great price too! More

What a great, small RV park. My husband and I travel quite a bit in our motorhome. I came across the Fish House Inn on the Internet. It was listed as an Inn with 6 RV spots in the back. I thought....this would be nice and looked forward to our one night stay. When we arrived, we drove up a... More

Talk about perception! That first review was just rude. We have stayed there 3x and will stay again in 3weeks. I say to the first review, You are in the middle of nowwhere, you done past the Hilton. Each room is unique. It is quaint. You won't find cookie cutter rooms like the motel 8 with mass produced drapes and... More

We wanted to take an overnight tour through some of Eastern Oregon, and I found the Fish House Inn on the web. The pictures looked cute enough, so we thought we'd give it a try. The property is one of those that's struggling on that fine line between "quaint" and just plain "run down", and it appears to be sliding... More
