Location was great after a long drive up the 101; but the room we had was downstairs and smelled awful. I think the carpets are beyond cleaning; they just need to be replaced. The smell was enough to cancel out any amenities. I would not stay there again.

My husband and I, along with another couple stayed last weekend (4/12/13). The resort looked okay from the outside, but once inside the room, it looked like it had not been changed since the 70's. We enjoy stating at the Gold Beach Resort each time we visit Gold Beach. The rooms are affordable and clean. The hotel is within a very short walk to a sandy beach and the rooms have a great view of the sunset. Breakfast is included and they have a great indoor pool.

The front desk staff was incredible! Our room was great. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and was a great value. It was only a short walk to the beach. They could use a better trail. Weather has been very damp on the North Coast but wanted to take the grand sons on an outing. Gold Beach Resort fit the bill. The hotel is clean, smells fresh and every room is ocean front. Each room has a balcony/patio. We had a King with 2 easy chairs and a desk.
