funky, fun and quirky is what the mcmenamin's brother bring to your traveling experience. you could spend a day just looking at the art in this property but be prepared to be scared and creeped out by some (most) of it. the roof top bar gives you a nice view of the town and its surrounding areas. we came to... I love this place. I've been here several times, and it's creepy as all get-out. Get your wits about you for the walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night--the paintings of leering old people at the ends of the hall can spawn nightmares following a midnight bladder release. Opt for the en suite sink? I love all... More

I am a fan of repurposed/historic buildings, so I thought I would love it a lot more. It is nothing if not unique. It was clean, no critters, always a plus. The rooms were a bit dusty for me, but nothing outrageous. I guess the funky part didn't do it for me. Usually these things have more appeal for me,... More

This hotel was a great jumping off point for wine tasting around the Williamette Valley. The rooms were quirky and old fashioned, spring for the private bath, I'd say it's worth it, ours ended up being a corner room which had huge windows overlooking the main street through town. Clawfoot tub and the fixtures seemed to be original. There is... More

Don't miss the opportunity to experience this charming and lively hotel. No five star amenities, no TV, not even a guarantee of a bathroom in your room, yet we had a great time. We had a corner room with a shared bath, king bed and sitting area. Our friends with a king bed and private bathroom had a much smaller... More

We won an overnight package at this hotel, and used it on a Friday-Saturday stay. We went online to choose what day based on the type of live music that was playing. The package included one night, $60 dinner for two, two no-charge glasses of wine, and $20 breakfast for two. This package costs a little over $220 if you... More

We'd stayed here before and enjoyed it - but standards seem to have slipped. Our room was quite small - OK - but a pull knob was missing from the drawer containing the bathrobes to use going down the hall to the restrooms, so we struggled with that. One of the urinals was out of order in the Men's restroom... More

We had a hard time finding a reasonably priced place to stay in the wine country of Willamette Valley. Hotel Oregon gave us a unique place (much more unique than just staying at another Holiday Inn Express) to stay at a good price. We had dinner on the rooftop bar (great view!) and breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The only... More

There are not a ton of options in this area for a hotel so we were glad that there was a McMenamins in the area because McMenamins properties are always interesting and unique. Hotel Oregon was no exception to this. There are paintings everywhere and one of the best features of the property is the rooftop bar. The rooftop bar... More
