The bed was terrible- hard as a rock. I had no idea they made beds this hard. Room was tiny, window was left open w/ no heat on so it was freezing when we walked in. 2 out of 3 lamps were not plugged in with no outlet nearby TO plug them into. Front desk person was exceedingly rude when... More

No Internet, hard beds, constant noise and traffic. Lamps with no wall plugs, too much furniture for the spaces, and, yes, not enough parking! I would also not recognize it based on these pictures. Nothing good to say. And, why a minimum number of 200 characters?

It was scary! We had to ask to switch rooms due to blood splatters on the walls, and cigarette fumes and burns all over the whole room. The beds were so old, and bowed in the middle (in both rooms). The second room we went into the floor was so soft, I believe if we would of jumped we would... More

I guess saying we're sorry doesn't quite cut it. We dropped the ball. This guest has every right to be mad, unhappy guest's is never a good and no amount of apologies will erase their bad experience. However we'd still like to extend our sincere apologies to this guest. More

Do NOT STAY HERE!!! THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. I had to leave and get a different hotel because I pulled off the comforter after seeing one crawling and there were SIX just in my bed. I called the front desk and the guy said that he NEVER has reports like this and doesn't know how his manager... More

This Econo Lodge is not only in a HORRIBLE part of Portland but the building is terribly run down. My boyfriend and I booked a room here sight unseen and reviews unread. We were desperate as every hotel we found had no vacancy. We arrived here late at night to witness that there was a room there where someone was... More

Beware of this place! Initially, the people were nice enough, I did not mind the noise or the "bad" neighborhood (I used to live in this neighborhood and I know it's very working class, not really "bad.") The room itself was not anywhere near as clean as I would have preferred, and I am not what you'd call picky or... More

Location is in a noisy, busy and rough neighborhood. If that keeps you up at night, then spend your sleepless night watching your vehicle. Room/hotel is rundown. Breakfast is a joke. None to be had. I don't mind a budget level hotel/motel but I care if promises are made and not kept. Way overpriced for what was promised.

A complete dive would be a few steps up from this place. I'll just list the lows as there are no highs to mention: - blood stain (I think?) on the carpet - the safety lock on the door was held on by ONE LOOSE screw and was definitely not safe - cigarette burns in the chair and bedspread -... More

The hotel was dirty and disgusting. There seems to be several families living on the hotel property which were causing disturbances after hours. The "breakfast" in the morning only consists of toast and Orange Juice. Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else.

For the pass three years I've made my yearly trip to Portland, Oregon to visit family and each time I've stayed at Econo Lodge Expo Center. The location is great, it is close to shopping, downtown, and Vancouver, Wa. Each time the staff has been friendly and helpful. The rooms are stanard size and clean. Great hotel for the money.
