I've stayed at the Benson a couple of times when in PDX and its one of those classic hotels... I hear that several Presidents have stayed here previously and figured that was a good sign. Stayed in a Junior Suite, nice sized room, bathroom nice but slightly small. Great historic Hotel with lots of character. Enjoyed the rest/lounge in the lobby. Central downtown location. More

Overall the place is very nice. The onsite lounge grest for a cocktail. Room was clean and pet friendly too. We did think the bathroom was a bite small. Parking for a buck deal was a nice touch. The El Goucho restaraunt onsite is a steak lovers paradise. You can walk the downtown, waterfrount and Pearl District. More

Here with our families for a wedding and we weren't alone. There was a VIP wedding group as well, but we were treated like it was us. The service was great, what's not to like about the lobby. We will return. More

The Benson is located at a great location in Portland and a bigger plus is that it comes with free Wifi! This is the place to stay If you're looking for just a place to stay that is affordable and convenient. Clean hotel room and nice staff made our stay here very pleasant. More
