Rooms were very dirty, tried to get seating in the restaurant and they would not seat a party of 13, even though half the restaurant was empty. Lots of fleas in the rooms, cigarette burns on the bedding and stains on the carpet. Not a great place to take children.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Portlander Inn. From the road there's an understandable temptation to think this is nothing more than a truck stop, but nothing could be further from the truth. As a trucker it gives you room to park but so so accomodations. Probably better to stay in the new wing but more expensive.
