This is our second trip to Candlewood. Nothing has changed. Friendly staff, quiet, and clean. But better than that, the rooms are comodious (what a word!) and well appointed--Full size refrigerator, hi-amp micro-wave, dishes and a dishwasher. Dear Ed-Michelle-Hawaii, Your title says it all. Our Candlewood Suites Portland Airport is "just what guests needed" in Portland. We are the only mid level extended stay hotel in the Portland Market. We stayed here before leaving from the airport in the morning. The lobby and the room were surprisingly austere, no pictures on the wall and it looked rather clinical! If both were cozier this would be a 5 star review. the staff was perfect, the room was new and clean and was great with kitchen. Give it a try! More

On a recent trip back home I got stranded in the snow storm that close the Seattle airport. This hotel was recommended to me by the airlines. On an overnight stay in Portland. The rooms were large and clean, and the staff very friendly. A request for more pillows gained a very quick delivery of pillows to our room. We would definitely stay here again. More

Nothing wrong here and mostly right, for a budget-minded overnight next to PDX airport. Shuttles on the half hour to the airport. Good rooms. Nothing fancy, but good. More
