Another lovely stay at this American treasure. If you are expecting a 5 star resort hotel go somewhere else, but if you enjoy the lodge style of American architecture this is a wonderful place. Yes, the rooms are not large, nor are they elegantly furnished. Rather they are filled with classic recreations of some of the original furnishings from 1937.... More

Drove up on a Sunday in May, dining in the Cascade Dining Room. We are a fifty something couple on a road trip. She had burger (good not great ), but salad bar tomato fresh veg soup was delicious. Fresh and satisfying. Ha had steelhead fish and chips: highly recommended! Two crispy hot crusted steelhead filets. Chips were perfection. Horseradish... More

Daughter married here. Lodge is expensive to stay, rooms are small except fireplace room really nice and large. Food is excellent. Its a lodge at the top of a mountain what more can I say. Loved it. Must go down mountain for other services More

We stayed at the Timberline Lodge in March for a ski trip. Don't expect a five star hotel experience with all of the amenities. We stayed in a small queen room which is somewhat cramped. The lodge was built in 1937 and has maintained it's historical heritage. The experience is great as long you understand you are staying in a... More

For the price I was dissappointed. Rooms are claustrophobic. Had heat off in room and it was roasting. Their advice was open window while snowing. Room 308 bathroom shower so small you could not move. You are trapped once you're there into buying overpriced food. The rental gear people and lessons instructor/Geo were great! More

We spent our honeymoon here, and 32 years later returned to find it the same, but a little bit better...We spent a couple nights in a fireplace room, which was romantic and well appointed, then another in a regular queen room. The food was great, the help so attentive and nice, and the snow and weather were just perfect. That... More

First the pluses: this is an amazingly historic building that is a wonderful example of rustic Pacific Northwest lodge decor. The views are incredible of Mt. Hood, the staff mostly seems to be friendly and things like a roaring fire on a cold winter's eve makes it that much nicer. All of this is offset though by items like paper... More

Absolutely the worst room I have ever stayed in. Outrageously priced for what you get. We paid around 250.00/night for a cold room, no heat, snow blowing through our closed window, paper thin walls, we could hear the guests next door as if they were standing in our room. They give you a dinky space heater and ear plugs. That... More

I love this place....we just returned from our second Winter Break in a row here and I must have said ten times in the past week how great a visit it is for families who love to ski. Yes, the rooms are "rustic" and the bathrooms are small. But the lodge is brimming with hand-made and very authentic character. We... More

The room was over-priced since we had NO heat and did not receive hot water for the shower until after 8am. The hallway outside the room was warmer then our room. They did supply a space heater that smelled like it was going to blow up. The service was slow in the Ram''s Head and they cleared our table prematurely... More
