First, let's clarify that this an interstate-side (I-81) motel for weary travelers on a budget. If you buy into the adage that you get what you pay for, then the Travelodge Carlisle gives you more than that. At $35 per night, it's unbeatable for an exit which is (literally) littered with similar-class motels. I spent some time there recently with... More

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Carlisle, PA Travelodge and were very happy with our accommodations and the bargain price. We had a large room with two doublebeds, very clean throughout, with a nice view of pastureland. We had a safety deposit box, fridge, coffee-maker, ...lat-screen TV that was simple to operate, an ironing board. We had a... More

We stayed here one night last weekend. Between Gettysburg one day and the National Apple Festival the next, this was a great spot to stop. It was a lot cheaper than staying down in Gettysburg and still close enough to everything we wanted to see. It's right off several main highways (81 and 76) so it was great to get... More

This is a utilitarian place. Great new air conditioner, windows, firm newer mattresses and a really good fridge. Set back off the road, it is very quiet. Very large rooms newer carpet. Cons: bathroom really needs upgrading, towels and bed linen need replacing as well as blankets, needs paint and a really good cleaning throughout the motel. Security: side door... More

Found this hotel to be very nice considering I was getting a comped room. I expected less, but really liked the place. It's close to everything interesting in Central Pa. area too ! Nice clean swimming pool was a extra I didn't expect either. Very clean rooms . And right off the Pa Turnpike at exit 226 ! Only 30... More

The travel coupon said this place was remodeled, a coat of paint in the hallway is not remodeling! Stained carpets, smelly room. Ice machine still broke. A lack of maintenance feel to the whole place. More

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights for my husband's Army War College graduation. I picked this hotel based upon it's reviews, most of which I read were very positive. However, we did not find this to be true for us. The rooms were dirty, the blankets were old and scratchy. There was no coffee maker in the room, as... More

This hotel is perfect for what it is: A $60 hotel that you stop in to grab a few hours sleep. AC is cold, rooms are no frill but very clean, beds are clean and the same type you always find in a hotel like this. You'll be disappointed if looking for something else and otherwise, you'll be quite satisfied. More

Nice and clean place, close to city center and most restaurants. Close to train station but no noise, just a few minutes walk. Breakfast is a bit expansive but there are several opprtunities near by. Rooms were clean and bathrooms too. Nice few from a room in the upper levels. Good starting point for the Hadrins Wall tour. See Tourist... More
