We were delighted to find the Brandywine area so rich with beauty, culture and history. Staying at the Hamanassett B&B was the perfect complement to a satisfying visit to the area. We had the least expensive room, but it was still charming with a roomy bathroom, and a comfy bed with sheets as soft as butter. Breakfasts are fancy and... More

I loved my first stay at the Hamanassett B&B so much that I've been back twice! It's the perfect place to stay. You can relax and disappear into your room or you can have lively conversations with the other guests. I stayed for business reasons and the innkeepers were friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Hamanasset to anyone and... More

Spent last weekend at the Hamanassett B&B. We're very familiar with B&B type accomodations, having stayed at many in the past throughout New England and as far south as Williamsburg, VA. I can honestly say that none surpass the Hamanasset in beauty, charm, cleanliness and overall hospitality. Ashley and Glen obvisouly love their Inn. Every detail demonstrates their caring and... For our second visit to the area we did not hesitate to return to the Hamanassett B&B. We were delighted to see the gardens, fountains, and horses as we approached the stately mansion at the top of the hill. As Glen greeted us, he had to excuse himself to remove from the oven the chocolate chip and walnut cookies he... More

We stayed at the Hamanassett B&B for a weekend recently, and it was wonderful. The house is amazing, filled with beautiful antiques. The owners and guests all made us feel at home. We were given an excellent homemade breakfast each morning and homemade cookies were available all weekend. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Very close to many... More

We just returned from a three night stay at a magnificent bed and breakfast. The owners are lovely and genuinely want to insure your stay is wonderful. The room we stayed in was glorious and the common rooms were fantastic. We felt comfortable and cozy along with feeling as if we were a part of history. Where else can you... More

We found Hamanassett while looking for a place to stay prior to visiting Longwood Gardens-and, as it turns out Hamanasett is the perfect compliment. We are pretty careful in choosing a B&B-not that we have had a bad experience though maybe that is because we are pretty careful in reviewing the available information. Which we did here-and just can't say... More

What a wonderful find! For Philadelphians, you do not need to leave town to find the perfect romantic getaway. Was the perfect, local escape which allowed us to get away without being too far from the kids. Beautiful house with wonderful rooms and some absolutely amazing antique pieces. Attention to small details was there. Glen and Ashley were super friendly... More

After a horrifying experience at the Inn at Leola (see my other review), we were delighted when we stumbled upon the Hamanasett B&B on a google search. We got super lucky when Glen told us there was a cancelation and we re-directed our GPS to Chester Heights. Hamanasett is exquisite, and exactly how you might picture a B&B should look.... More

Our night began with saddle-shoed gentleman and proprietor, Glen, escorting us into the renovated 1860's Hammanasett, richly decorated with antiques and seasonal trimmings. He showed us the game room, wherein a heavy billiards table and statement-piece mantel dominated (complimentary sherry sat on a silver tray). The parlor had book-lined shelves and a baby-grand piano (complimentary port). Glen took our reservation... More
