This well maintained & operated Inn provided comfort, history, atmosphere & food. What more could you ask for?? The room (1757 suite) was very comfy & we all had a particularly fine sleep - important!! The breakfasts were very tasty, filling & served promptly. The one thing though we really appreciated was the staff, from the cooks, to Andi (the... More

We have been traveling the 2.5 hours (one way) to eat our Thanksgiving Dinner at The Historic Fairfield Inn since 2003. They have watched our family grow from 4 to now 8 of us. We would not miss a Thanksgiving at this Inn; for us it's a family tradition, with the most awesome of food, service and ambiance. We have... More

This property is a historical treat, with all the comforts of home. The pictures do not do the rooms any justice - you have to see them for yourself. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and clean, and the hospitality is the best around. Combine this with such a great historical setting, and some terrific hospitality from all involved, it... We stayed for only one night on Oct. 17th in the 1757 suite. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for dinner. Our breakfast was fantastic (spinach quiche). The Inn is kept very original with uneven floor boards that we found to be lovely. It retains the spirit and atmosphere of a time long ago. It was a wonderful experience, I love... More

We had an enchanted time at the Fairfield Inn - from the time we walked through the wonderful original front door our expierence was nothing but terrific. The owner and the entire staff were the most accomodating, friendly group of people we had ever met. The innkeeper gave us a tour and the history of his wonderful inn. We stayed... More

This Inn is unique, historic and very well appointed, the room was nicely furnished. We loved the claw foot tub. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was great! However, the mattresses were hard, the pillows too thin, the sheets too cheap, the a/c wasn't strong enough to make the room comfortable. The cot kept on closing up on... More

Visiting Gettysburg we found the perfect Civil War era property. This is the most delightful, warm and friendly inn around the Gettysburg area. Andie, the Innkeeper made us feel like we were visiting a favorite aunt. She could have written the book on what how to perfectly run a B&B. Spacious rooms, f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s food, and an amazing history. (My parents... More

From the moment I entered through the historic front door with the external weight and original lock I was enchanted. I was greeted by the innkeeper who poured me a beer and took me on a tour of the Inn and filled me in on the historic details. Everyone we met a the Inn, the chef, the owner, the daughters... More

We loved the history of the Fairfield Inn but very disappointed in the food and service. We had made reservations for dinner which may not have been necessary. When we arrived there was no one to greet us for dinner. After waiting several minutes we made our way to the back dining area to find someone to seat us for... More
