Beautiful location in a tropical garden. The villas are lovely, well decorated and cool breezes create a lovely atmosphere. Air conditioning has been installed in some villas, but I didn't need it at all. Even though daytime temps are high the place cools down at night and the first two nights I needed my bedcoverings. Mattresses are extremely comfy -... More

We built our Christmas vacation around our stay at Yourantai, and that was a great decision. Everything about our stay was just perfect. In December, it was a bit cool in the morning but lovely the rest of the day. There were a few mosquitos, but the villa had window screens, bed nets and coils. We had a few showers,... More

3 nights in this corner of paradise (two villas for the four of us). Unseasonably cool during our stay, so can't speak about bugs, but all the good things you have read about Gerard and Grace are correct. Fantastic care, magical setting. Only the Linden Center (Dali) compares, but very different vibe in a very different setting. Basically, if you... More

Yourantai was an interesting experience. The grounds of this B&B are amazing, very beautiful and you get the sense you are far away from a town. The decoration and the building are also very impressive - there are even antiques in the rooms, along with torches, mosquito repellent and anything else you might need. Tea, soft drinks and beers are... More

Simply awesome to discover Yourantai, it was my first time ever staying at a hotel in such hot climate without airconditioning, surprisingly I still slept like a baby with just the ceiling fan! Grace, the manager and her team have been charming and caring, they looked after me well and helped me to get around with all useful information, a... More

Perched on a hillside in the outskirts of Jinghong in a tropical private park, lies Yourantai B&B, overlooking the Mekong River. Being a most amicable host, Gerard welcomed us just like personal friends and we shared a number of meals and bottles of wine with him, poring over maps to find out about the best outings to make. His in... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Yourantai B&B and just enjoyed the peace there. The B&B is located in Jinghong but you definitely need a taxi to reach it. Pick-up should be arranged if you get the first time to it (we did; went well). We stayed at the Palm Villa and enjoyed the view from the balcony across the... More

After 4 stays at Youranta, superlatives must keep coming. The setting is superb and totally quiet, food is 5 star, service exemplary with courteous, smiling, ever helpful staff. Gerard, the host, is a mine of local information and yes, I will be back as soon as possible.

Very nice rooms, arranged with taste in the local style, fancy furniture and garnments, beautiful tropical garden, relaxing areas for guests and good home-made dishes if you choose to stay for lunch or dinner : a safe choice for travellers seeking a quiet, stylish and up-scale place to stay in Southern Yunnan.
