Stayed on a D,B&B on a saturday night. Large room with all the amenities(including large sofa!), large bathroom with walk-in shower, bathrobes provided. 5 real ales to choose from in the bar, and cocktails available. 3 course dinner was excellent as was the service. Breakfast was again cooked to order and full of flavour with plenty of choice. Only drawbacks... More

we booked a room at short notice at moyles, we arrived and where greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our lovely room which is both modern and well equiped, especially the shower. in the morning we had an equisite breakfast cooked fresh, again a very friendly and efficient waitress with a nice smile nothing to much to... We had a wonderful stay here. I worked in travel for just over 8 years and know a good hotel when I see it and this is brilliant! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the standard of accommodation was great, as was the food. One of the first times that my husband and I have stayed somewhere and... More

Asked for a table as we walked in at 8pm on a quiet Saturday night it seemed... Was told a table would be availavlble for 9people at 9.30pm... Thort it was a bit of a long wait as the restaurant looked empty, however we said we would wait. We didn't confirm as we where still awaiting party members, come 8.15... More

Hi there, Thank you very much for feedback and I was very concerned when I have read your review on this site which we find not necessary to reply because of such damaging comments. It does not reflect the complete truth anyway. I am surprised that you remember all this after the amount of alcohol you & your party have... More

We stayed at Moyles for our anniversary in March 2012. From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel at home. Our room was the Mediterranean one (room 9) - it is beautiful. High ceilings, tasteful decor, everything you could possibly need. The room is spacious and comfortable and the bathroom is very stylish. I... More

A dull cold wet day...we needed somewhere warm and cheerful to raise our spirits. Bar meals only available, but served by charming and friendly staff. Fires burning at both ends of the room, but sadly giving out little heat so we felt a bit chilly. Food quite good, excellent steak sandwich and good sausage and mash, deserts of chocolate brownie... The sour grape person who complains about 'locals' and their use of the cellar pass should make him/herself known. The locals spend a lot of money at the excellent bar and the management are kind enough to allow access to the cellar, usually if the beers at the bar are not to our palate. I am certain that 'sour grapes'... More

Quite rightly, this hotel has an excellent reputation for beer. My only issue is this ridiculous business of 'cellar passes' where those in the know can join an elite group who are allowed to have beer straight from the cellar. This often means that by the time the beer reaches the bar, the barrel is less, often significantly so, than... More

I've stayed here a few times before when on business trips and have always found the staff friendly and helpfully and the food impressive and value for money. The bar also stocks a good variety of ails or beers and serves a good pint of guinis. The rooms are spacious, though wired Internet didn't appear to work and I'm not... More
