The Lamb at Hindon is an old worldly pub, that serves cask beer, (including Tribute....a lovely light bitter beer), larger and many different bottles of wine. It has accommodation available, we didn't use it as we were staying elsewhere. We hid have a lovely meal that was really first class, in a lovely dining area.
The staff were very friendly...

We stayed at The Lamb as The Angel across the road was full when we tried to book. We have often looked at the website, but have never taken the plunge before as the Lamb is more expensive and we have enjoyed our stays at The Angel so much.
When I arrived in the bar to check in on a...

Having met up with friends here for lunch regularly over several years, and enjoyed excellent food, we were bitterly dissappointed with the lack of choice and poor quality of our lunch here.
The menu was unimaginative and mean, overpriced, and the one vegetarian option was off!
Our soup was lukewarm and had to be returned - it took 10 to...

Stayed for one night using a Telegraph offer and had a great time. I think we probably had one of the more basic rooms but size and decoration were superb (although no view to speak of being at the back of the building.) The bar was welcoming with...

This was our second stay at the Lamb - having stayed 2 years ago when the were in the midst of the refurshiment we returned as our first visit had been so lovely. The rooms have been beautifully decorated and we had a lovely bathroom.
I think the thing that makes this hotel special is the open fires and the...

We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant followed by breakfast the next morning. Everything was absolutely delicious -...

We have just met up with my cousin and her husband at the Lamb, for our annual post Christmas get-together, and we were all very disappointed with the food prices. Three of us ordered gourmet burgers at well over £8 each, and assumed chips or maybe even a small salad garnish may be included at that price, but sadly no,...

My wife and I, both in our seventies, recently returned from a "Three Day Christmas Special" at the Lamb. It was our first visit to Hindon and we had a most enjoyable and relaxing time, which was exactly what we wanted. The service and seasonal food were excellent and everyone from the Manager – Merle Crampton – down was friendly...

Having stayed here some 10 years ago, we were sad to see how the new ownership has lowered the standards of a perviously well renowned establishment. Immediately we were struck by the lack of cleanliness and tlc- dirty floors, tables uncleared, loos needed a good scrub and vacuum. The greeting we received was of disinterest. The cheerful, almost apologetic, young...
