Wharton Park's picturesque 18 hole championship golf course in Worcester is well-known and respected, having been designed by Course Architect Howard Swan around a 43 acre Royal Forest. It is an incredibly attractive course to play, offering a variety of interesting features including water features on the 14th, 16th & 18th fairways. It offers challenging golf, with advantages which reward the more experienced golfer whilst encouraging the higher handicapper. The course is to USGA Standard, 6455 yards, Par 71.
Stayed here in Feb 24, as we were meeting family in Bewdley - what a really lovely hotel (we were not here for the golf or its facilities). Brilliantly priced and excellent value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was immaculate and very well appointed. Bed was super comfortable, and what was nice touch, the tea/coffee facility in the room was a really good standard (not the cheap undrinkable stuff!). Iron & ironing board in room, large tv. We would absolutely stay here again. Really nice stay. The next morning we decided to have breakfast there. Again, very nice full English - everything was well cooked, tasty and plenty of it, overlooking the beautiful golf course. Would most defiantly recommend staying.

We held a Life Celebration for my father at Wharton Park following his funeral. Around 70 guests joined us and we used the main function room which has wonderful views out onto the terrace and the golf course. The Wharton Park team, led by Josh on the day, did a fantastic job for us. The buffet was excellent and catered for various dietary restrictions - everyone had plenty to eat and there were lots of positive comments. My father would have loved the freshly bakes scones with clotted cream and jam! The room was laid out perfectly and meant everyone was able to move around easily, chat and share memories of my father. The staff were wonderfully respectful and could not have been more helpful on what was a difficult and emotional day for the family. Many thanks from us all to Josh, Elise and the team. …

A fancy revamped driving range with state of the art Top Tracer technology and a bar area where drinks and snacks are available to purchase, a bit like a beach bar. All fine and dandy, but a driving range where you’re not allowed to use your driver…? Please!!!! It’s like having a pub which is not allowed to sell beer.

Didn’t stay just paid green fee and played a two ball. Staff are great, nice welcome and lovely course. Downfall was the members four ball in front refusing to let us through despite there being courtesy holes to allow them to do so. Sadly missed three holes and cut in front of them due to the ridiculous amount of time they spent ignoring us and taking to play their shot. Even another members four ball behind us moved forward and apologised for their fellow members ignorance. A pity as it spoilt the day out. Hopefully reception will speak with them having raised the issue at the end of our round (15 holes) Won’t be returning.

Voucher used to book and was asked dietary needs. Told plain sandwiches ham & tomato, tuna mayo, egg & cress so was ok with that. Turned up place empty couldn’t find anyone to ask where to go. Found bar but golfers all walked in front of me as I was invisible! Eventually knocked on door for reception as was marked as closed. Had to help move a table as not really set up as I had expected. Bought pot of tea and said will tell chef you are here. Put some background music on but not a soul about apart from golfers we seemed to be in the way… Afternoon tea arrived and then we were just left to it. Sandwiches were not as told, coronation chicken my husband had to eat as I wanted plain. Sausage roll was ok but tasted the pigs in blankets seemed very fatty like cooked in deep fat fryer so left the rest. Scones were quite thin and just broke apart. Clotted cream was off on one pot so was given another pot when waitress eventually came back to see if we needed more tea. Asked for box to take cake home… then had to fill in a disclaimer on food hygiene. Packed cakes and left with no one around to say we were leaving. Sorry but I expected a whole lot better.…

Organised a small event at this venue. They were prompt and friendly in my initial inquiries and on the day the room was set up and welcoming and the sit down lunch was delicious, hot and more than enough. Well done.

We had a lovely afternoon tea. The room was warm and cosy with music playing in the background. The food was delicious and we were given a box to bring the cake home that we couldn’t eat. We had a lovely attentive waitress and a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you
