Great location but service, communication and management was very poor. Firstly the room had a funny smell and the TV was not working. I had assurances that this would be fixed. Five to six hours later and asking them the status 3 to 4 times I ended up asking for another room. Management did accommodate but ended up in a... More

We needed to stay in a family room (2 kids), so the only option was a ground floor room, smallest motel room I have ever seen! It consisted of a queen bed and a single bed squished at the end with an unmade trundle underneath. The bathroom looked like something from a prison (cracked tiles, dark brick walls, shower curtain),... More

We have stayed at the Anchor Inn before and keep coming back. Located a very short stroll from the shops, a short drive from the beach and off the main road - it is convenient and quiet. Some rooms have views across the green rolling hills to the sea. The rooms are clean, comfortable although a little tired. Our last... More

This Hotel has wonderful staff especially the owner, Gerry. The rooms are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for Brad, the Manager or Gerry. The Hotel is within walking distance to all shops, restuarants, park & short drive 2 to 3 minutes to the beach..

Great little hotel/motel right in town within easy walking distance to shops. The owner/host was super helpful suggesting dinner options since their restaurant was closed the evening we were there. Dated furnishings and decor but in a charming way, no shabby or tired items ... all pristeen. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Ok, but there really aren't good views from the top floor, and there is a reason they don't have many photos on their website. But ok. Though being a small town there aren't many places to stay there, so at least the location is a big plus for the hotel. Just don't go with high expectations!

Booked last minute the day before for a Saturday night they quoted me $240 for a spa room and when i arrived the price was $270! Ryan the manager who lives on site was very very rude and unhelpful when i tried to dispute the fact that they had quoted me me $240 and now charging me $270! Didnt offer... More

We stayed for one night in October and found the accommodation to be good. A great location. Our room was large and had been renovated to a degree. Bed was comfortable but we found that the nearest power point to plug in the kettle was down near the floor. No wine glasses either in the room. Unfortunately being a sunday... More

The best thing about the Anchor Inn is the location. And that's important for me. Worse thing.... well hope you're not eating, but when we arrived in our room my bladder was at bursting point, so straight to the bathroom where I removed the "so called hygenic seal" only to find that someone elses bladder must have been bursting prior... Stayed here for 3 nights over the long weekend. Great location for exploring this region, and next to the Gerringong shops with a top little cafe right next door. I didn’t expect much as it’s really a motel, but it seems to have been updated recently so looked a lot better than many motels I’ve stayed in over the years.... More
