This was our first trip to Australia so we wanted a sample of everything in just a few days time. We did Sydney and the Hunter Valley, and then finished the vacation with some beach time at Samurai Beach Resort. It was a wonderful and relaxing finish to the trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in... More

I have stayed in the Port Stephens area before but previously in Nelson Bay itself so this was a bit of a change for us. I am really glad that we did choose to stay here as it was one of the most enjoyable long weekends I've had. Upon arrival the lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and... More

We stayed at one of the studio rooms at Samurai Beach Resort for the Easter weekend. The staff are lovely and the amenities in room were sufficient, with some lovely touches, bed was clean and comfortable. The room itself was visibly clean, but ours had a bad wet-carpet odour. A cockroach almost fell on my head when I switched on... More

We were so impressed with the samurai resort. Comfortable and cute accommodation and the staff were very helpful. Not far from the town centre and the beach. A quiet location with even a koala or two! Perfect for a weekend getaway and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and stay again! More

We stayed here on our honeymoon road trip and found that it was quiet and private enough for us. That was helped by the fact that it was a Monday and Tuesday night in off peak season. The highlight was koala spotting - we saw two koalas, a mother and baby, on our last evening there in a tree just... More

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to review Samurai Beach Resort. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay whilst on your honeymoon adventures. You are right the nature is amazing with koala viewings nearly daily plus other native wildlife. There are only 31 rooms located on 8 hectares which means there is so much space and... More

Stayed for two nights in February 2012. Booked studio cabin which would have suited us fine however they upgraded to the spa suite at no extra cost when we checked in. The spa suite was very large and presented well. Nice pool area and attractive grounds. 15 minute stroll to Samurai Beach. Friendly staff. We will stay there again More

being a mother of 3 children ranged in age from 10 to 2, i found this resort to be Fantastic. I would stay here again. So close to everything but so tranquil and relaxing. My children, my Husband and myself enjoyed visits from the wild kookaburras every morning and afternoon. and we even had the pleasure to spot a koala... More

Hi Nichola, Thank you very much for your amazing review. We are delighted to read that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Samurai Beach Resort. Booked this place as a spur of the moment thing. We were two families with plenty of kids and was really worried that my lack of homework was going to cause me some headaches. We booked two studios and to my surprise they were bigger than most deluxe rooms in other holiday parks with most of the amneties that we needed.But... More

My partner and I have stayed here numerous times and the only disappointment we have ever had is when it is time to leave. We always stay in the deluxe spa suites and they are amazing, so private and quiet we think of it as our holiday house. The staff are always friendly and helpful but they leave you alone... More

My partner and I stayed just after Christmas 2011. We stayed in a one bedroom spa apartment. Upon check in, the receptionist was lovely and gave us all the information we needed. Once going to our room, I was disappointed for the price that our apartment was next to the road. I would have thought for the price ($1,830) for... More
