I stayed at sunnyledge very recently and it was great! The staff were friendly and very eager to fulfill any request I had. I had a very tasty Raspberry Lemon martini made by Leslie, who also checked us in. The hotel is very small so he staff get to know you well. As said in previous reviews, location is great.... More

This is my second attempt at posting this but here goes: I think my stay might have been the deal of the year. $139 a night for a deluxe room right on the Carnegie Mellon campus and only steps from the downtown Shadyside and Oakland area. I think that was pretty good weekday rate for pittsburgh. Bed was comfortable room... More

.Location, location, Shadyside/Oakland Near downtown location is Sunnylede Hotel's strength. It's an older property with minor issues but nothing fatal. I arrived early, a bit past 1 pm, check in was a breeze. My clean room was a comfy king corner room facing 5Th Ave and a side street. . Bathrooms are for one person at a time, towels and... More

Hardly any breakfast, really. And the staff were very difficult to work with and fairly inept (room charges were billed to wrong credit card, had to wait 3 hours for manager to call back before they could clear it up). Shower pressure was miserable, the room was small and their was mold in the bathroom. Never did find workout room.... More

Room was cold in February even with supplemental space heater that I plugged in upon arrival going full bore. Warm under thick quilt but luke warm shower failed to warm up. No Internet at all in my room and my colleague only had intermittent access one flight down. Restaurant closed for dinner. Breakfast: bagel and coffee/tea only option. Feels like... More

I enjoy 'charm' and expect some adjustments when choosing 'boutique' lodging. But -- no operational Wi-Fi, cold showers, malfunctioning toilet, leaking ceiling, back-killing mattress, unadvertised parking fee tacked on to already exorbitant price, workout room consisting of some dusty treadmills in a storage closet style room along with a crib and other assorted junk, no notice before arrival that the... I had a visitor stay here. I thought this would be a quality place but, although he was polite, it obviously was not a superior place. The real problem was that he had to work in the hotel but the wireless was not working so he could not access his files. More

At $139 a night for the corporate rate you cant go wrong. Comfortable bed, handsome surroundings, a great martini bar, and complimentary continental breakfast. I especially enjoyed being near Walnut st where all the shops are located. Overall a good experience More

This hotel is located on the the main strip heading towards the shops and clubs on Walnut Street. It was nice to park the car and leave it alone for the duration of the trip because the hotel is located within walking distance of the shops. The lobby is adourned in panneled oak. The rooms are clean and the beds... More

Despite all the bad reviews we stayed for one night at the Sunnyledge. What a pleasant surprise! We were greeted by Anna, who is a student at the University of Pittsburgh Law school. She did a wonderful job of greeting, bartending and serving our breakfast the next day! Our room was clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was small but... More
