Between the filthy rugs, closet-sized rooms, peeling old paint, and general decay/neglect, this place places at the top of my must-miss list. We stayed one night and promptly fled for far better (and less expensive!) accommodations. Not sure what the reviewers who have sighted improvements were seeing - could it possibly have been worse?

Yes, the other reviews are mostly accurate. The place is old and spartan and needs some updating. But understand that Block Island is not a luxury destination, despite the Nantucket sized high prices.
