This is a very unique property. I highly suggest it! Beautifully manicured and wooded grounds. It is tough to fully describe the full experience. True 5 star resort with outstanding food and service. The village/rooms/main building look "quaint" until you really look at the quality of the furnishings and materials. It is very well done. We took a guided kayak... More

There is absolutely nothing negative I could say about this beautiful place. I rented a house here for my husband's 65th birthday celebration and from the moment we stopped at the guard house to get our pass until we left, everything was perfect. We arrived at the house, which had the bikes I had reserved waiting in the carport. We... More

The Buffalo Cafe at the inn is very isolated which appears to be in a very private area, however it is open to the public. Both the food and service were outstanding along with a fantastic view of the May River. My wife ordered the burger and I had the Buffaletta. Both were fantastic. this was a highlight of our... More

The Facts: Length of Stay: 7 days The Culprits: Wife, Mother in law, 19 month daughter & myself Accommodations: 2 Bedroom Wilson Village Home This exclusive resort, located 20 minutes from Savannah, was a great service oriented family getaway. Reminds me of Hidden Pond in Maine (see my reviews), but with way better staff and amenities. We stayed in a... More

Wow. This is by far and away one of the best places we've ever stayed and we've stayed at the best world wide. First of all this place could not be more kid friendly. We left our little ones at home and vow to come back with them. The family pool/canoe club pool is the best and biggest so I... More

We just concluded a 5 night stay. I don't agree with the prior reviewer's "boring" comment. It is a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. The cottages are wonderful, as are the bikes you are given to get around. The restaurants are fine -- very good food. Staff incredibly gracious and helpful. Great golf course. We did leave the property a... More

This is a unique place, with more charm and character than nearly any other resort in North America. The cottages are over the top, and I'm not sure they could do anything to improve them. The rest of the resort is cool, but just not quite worth the exorbitant pricing. The restaurants are very nice, but both were quite stuffy.... More

Stayed 4 days early march. Truly extraordinary property with equally extraordinary staff and culture of great service performed in a highly competent manner without the false pomp one sees in pretentious style resorts. This place is real. All the services and facilities were fine. When one planned activity was cancelled for reasons beyond the inn's control, they made great efforts... More

Family friendly. Family friendly. Family friendly. Lie. Lie. Lie. They will take your money and resort fees, tell you again and again how family friendly they are and then NOT LET FAMILIES USE THE POOL! This is not a hard and fast rule though, as I was being escorted away today when my sleeping toddler and I were the ONLY... More

This property is spectacular! Our cottage was very large, with a fireplace and suana shower that was fantastic. Everything about our room was great - refrigerator, large dressing area, big comfy chairs facing the fireplace, large screened in patio, and wonderful bed linens that made you want to stay in bed all day! Bicycles for us to explore the property.... More
