What a beautiful hotel right in the center of Charleston! We walked everywhere and the best dining establishments were all in arms reach. Also, ordered In Room breakfast one morning and its at the top of my list for being one of the best In Room dining experiences ever! More

I chose Charleston Place for my wife and I on a Surprise Birthday trip. We required a pet friendly room and I wanted a more upscale facility. I was very impressed with every aspect of the hotel. Each staff member made a great impression with every effort to assist us with a smiling face. Everyone was helpful. The rooms were... More

A wonderful longtime friend took me to Charleston for my "Big" birthday. She made all of the arrangements and chose Charleston Place as our hotel. I can't think of one negative to say. The staff were lovely and accommodating, breakfast delicious and the room lovely. As I don't know the cost, I can't comment on the value but I can... More

Charleston Place is beautiful, the people friendly, the service great, the rooms clean, everyone respectful. My husband, daughter and I shared a room and found a total bonus in the balcony overlooking King Street. The pool, spa and lounge area is nice as well. We didn't eat at the restaurants, so I can't speak for that, but only because we... More

I stayed here for three nights in a club level room with a balcony. The balcony did not cost more, I requested it and it provided a lovely view. I thought the Club Level service was nice, drinks were fine. The food was inedible and I would have rather spent the extra money having cocktails and better appetizers in one... More

Our family (mom, dad, 2 kids, dog) visited Charleston for the first time in April 2012. Our family likes higher end hotels, but we were traveling with our dog, so we had limited options in the historic district. We booked a room with double beds on one of the club level floors which gives two floors of the hotel private... More

Pros: The lobby, the shops, saltwater pool with retractable ceiling, hot tub, outside seating area near pool, close proximity to downtown attractions. Cons: Average room with no refrigerator, no coffermaker, no ceiling fan -- which I thought odd for the Lowcountry, and an average sized television. The first room we were assigned had a malfunctioning air conditioner. When we were... More

Stayed at Charleston Place while attending a seminar. Stayed three great nights. Very nice rooms and centrally located to old Charleston. Would probably look for a less pricy place if paying my own way. More
