We decided to book a weekend getaway in charleston. I had never been and my husband only to hit the bar scenes visit a friend in college. Chose this hotel based on Hilton points, location and reviews. Plus it of course has a great breakfast included in the morning. Check in was a breeze although unlike most front desk folks... More

This is my second review of this hotel, i have stayed at this hotel for the last 2 years as my daughter attends College of Charleston and is walking distance to the college and downtown. This hotel is very consistant, the staff are very helpfull from Curtis (Bellman) to the front desk (Casey) to the ladies working the Breakfast area,... More

I can't really add a lot to the good reviews of others but I do agree: good location on the north rim of the Historic district across from the Visitor's center, free trolley stop, Historic houses, great restaurants. We walked to the Battery one afternoon and took a taxi back after drinks and dinner for about $10. A rickshaw is... More

Just returned from bringing a group to Charleston and staying at the Hampton Inn- Historic District. The staff was amazing, true Southern charm. Penelope at the front desk was so nice and accomodating. Everyone there made us feel so welcomed and very helpful in whatever we needed. Breakfast had lots of options. The beds were very nice and the rooms... More

Right across the street from the Visitors Center and all the stops for the free trolley, this is in the perfect location. Plus the Charleston Museum and the Joseph Manigault House are less than a block away. Numerous restaurants, the Macaroon Boutique, Paolo's Gelato, and the Blue Bicycle Bookstore are on the same block. Our room on the 3rd floor... More

We had a great stay but the fact that we asked for a cab to the airport and the door man called a "limo" that charged us double provided a sour moment in an otherwise nice trip. We asked the front desk for a cab. We confirmed for a cab. And in the rush to leave it didnt occur to... More

Melanie, I read your review and I want to thank you for taking the time to do so. We really do appreciate your business and your nice comments about the hotel. I can't apologize enough for the discrepancy with the transportation going back to the airport. Please reach out to me at the hotel so I can discuss this with... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in mid-April and were very satisfied. With prices for many of the boutique properties within the historic district exorbitant we found this a perfect compromise. It is located on the edge of the district directly across the street from the Visitor Center which is very convenient for tours or the free trolley.... More

The room was very nice, the breakfast more than we expected. The location between Meeting Street and King was just right. Would stay there again. More

If we have never been to a certain city before, we like to pick a Hampton Inn that has good reviews because they've never let us down. This time was no different and we really had a great experience in Charleston for our April vacation. Parked our car in the parking garage and only took it out once in the... More
