Given our first 2 highly enjoyable stays at the Indigo Inn, we booked another trip last week and with another couple this time. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location in Charleston is perfect. The inn remains classically quaint and the rooms are very comfortable. Highlights include a good breakfast and a late afternoon wine & cheese table which... This location is ideal, walking distance to the water, the market, the historic homes, King Street. The courtyard in the middle is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the afternoon wine social hour or planning the next activity. The room, however was small and the sink didn't drain. Front desk staff were friendly enough.

Pros: Despite the many raving reviews about this hotel, in the end, although it is a cute place, it was, nonetheless, just average. It had an average slim-pickings breakfast, and average rooms. Albeit, the hotel did offer a nice touch with the daily wine and cheese servings. But that's where the pros end. Cons: (And there are many) 1) For... More

Please allow me to take this opportunity to address the concerns brought forth in your review. 1) The $191.00 price you paid included the $12.00 parking fee, and was stated on the email confirmation that was sent to you. 2) There is a safe at the front desk which guests may use to store their valuables. 3) As to the... The Indigo Inn is in a perfect location to easily walk Charleston. The room was spacious and clean, overlooking a courtyard, where evening happy hour (with plenty of cheeses, crackers, and one hot item, as well as wine) and morning breakfast (one hot item, pastries, cereal, yogurt, bagels) are enjoyed. Food was OK, and there was plenty of it. Rates... More

I love this place and have stayed here many times, and for many years. Each room is individually decorated so it is always a surprise to see the decor. Comfy beds, nice breakfast, an afternoon wine and cheese service, and a warm greeting by the front desk staff are always a part of the stay. Brien, Ignatious,Julie, Margaret, are always... More

May 2013 Second visit - still retains it's charm and graciousness. Rooms are a little bit dated, and the continental breakfast" is nothing special, but the inner courtyard and the late afternoon wine and cheese experience are absolutely a delight!!! Downtown location with attached parking makes this an easy choice -walking distance to the Museum, the battery, galleries, the Market,... More

This was our first trip to Charleston and sought advice from friends as to where to stay. One of the recommendations was the Indigo Inn. We were aware that this is a small "boutique" type hotel which we prefer to large chains. The experience was nothing short of perfect. The staff is about the friendliest, most knowlegable collection of people... More

Well located in the heart of Charleston, the Indigo Inn is a comfortable base from which to explore this delightful city. Good on-site parking and a helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable, but they did not have Queen or King-sized beds. The elevator access was a bit dingy.

Charming, well-located inn, perfect for visiting Charleston on foot, but with easy parking available too. The staff were very helpful with restaurant plans etc. They seem to be well-trained in the hospitality industry, professional but not perfunctory, happy to go above their required duties- after trying to get a car or taxi for me, a staff member drove me to...
