I felt exactly like I was visiting my aunt and uncle. The aunt and uncle who loved me; were always glad to see me and made me feel at home. The ones who always had time to sit down, talk and spend time with me. The same ones who had the time to spend with me because they let their...

As mentioned by another reviewer every flat surface had something on it. The plumbing was a bit dated and the room had a slight mustiness. Probably due to the fact that the house seems to ajoin a wetlands area. The breakfast was not much better than hotel breakfast. I did choose this rather than a hotel due to it being...

The innkeepers were both sweet and accommodating folks. We enjoyed our single night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The bed was one of the more comfortable ones we have slept in in our travels. View over the old rice plantation fields was amazing, with a variety of birds that inhabited the immediate area. Georgetown is up and...

Staying alone, I chose the Shaw House over a hotel/motel for safety and was ever so pleased. While I am a young grandmother myself, I felt as if I was coming home each evening to my grand parents. The Shaws were such a welcome sight every evening and morning. The house was absolutely lovely; the view across the marsh wonderful...

We were very disappointed with this bed and breakfast. The house is in much need of updating and at the very least, a good paint job. It was just too cluttered--there was no room to set down any of our personal items--every surface was covered with stuff. The breakfast served in the morning was practically inedible--old fruit, a stale croissant...

When you pull up to this stately Manor you are immediately WOWED! The Location says it all! 40 mins to Myrtle Beach and about an hour to Charleston. The Huge Front porch sets the tone for what we in the South call RELAXIN'. I must say I was impressed with manor at which every detail is covered. From the his...

Mary and Joe have been opening their home to travelers for a long time, and it shows. Their inn is located in a quiet area of Georgetown but is minutes from beaches, restaurants, and historic sites. They have gracious public areas where you can relax. They have a new screened-in porch that is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and a...

The Shaw house was a wonderful relaxing getaway. The hosts were very hospitable and helpful to make sure we had everything we needed and were knowledgeable in recommending restaurants, shops etc when we asked. It was clean and well furnished and the breakfast was delicious. The price was very reasonable.

The hostess couldn't have been sweeter; the town of Georgetown couldn't have been more charming; and the restaurant that we ate (The Humble Crumb) couldn't have been more delicious. This place is a nice big house in a quiet neighborhood right on the marsh. The scenery is lovely. We stayed in the king size room on the second floor. The...
