Have stayed at Avista several times, typically for a winter/spring golf trip. Clean rooms,quieter north location right on the beach. Has good workout room and walkable to restaurants and shopping. A possible downside is that parking garage is a cross the street.

Despite all of the negative reviews which had me anxious to stay at Avista, I am happy to report that we had ZERO problems. No bugs and no rude employees!!! If you are looking for a beach front hotel in this price range, I think you will receive GREAT value for your money.
