Beautifully restored home on National Registry of Historic Places located in downtown historic district near shops & restaurants. Guests enjoy rocking on the huge covered front porch & relaxing in the private rear gardens. We serve freshly cooked full breakfast and evening refreshments along with our bottomless cookie jars. Wireless internet/cable tv/dvd players. Impeccably clean & beautifully decorated.
Billie & David are the best hosts - they make you feel so comfortable. Like visiting best friends! We’ve spent a football weekend each fall at the Lowry House for 6 or 7 years. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The beds are luxurious. Billie is an excellent cook and her breakfasts are wonderful! We look forward to visiting them every year!

My girlfriend and I were in town for one day to visit family. This was our first B&B experience as a couple. Normally we stay at the hotel (The Hampton Inn) up the road a bit. This time I decided to try something different. Greats hosts, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. And I really appreciated that they asked about food allergies, and made something delicious for my girlfriend who is a vegetarian. My recommendation would be to skip the hotel and stay at the Lowry House Inn.

Wonderful place. Couldn't have been more pleased with choice. Very friendly hosts and a great young granddaughter who happened to help them the next day with breakfast. Clean, very nice room and great meal. We would definitely go back.

In the little town of Seneca, South Carolina we discovered this charming inn, owned and run by Dave and Billie Grimes, (inn originally built 1916 and completely restored and renovated by Dave!). We booked this at the last minute, and we got really lucky. From its shaded front lawn to the huge veranda (with fans!) to the great breakfasts, this is THE place to stay if you're in the area for Clemson football games, (just fifteen minutes away), or just want a nice weekend getaway. The room was really nice and comfortable and clean, the price was very fair and reasonable, and the entire place was very well-appointed with nice details and antiques. There are several good restaurants on Ram Cat Alley, and there is also a great vinyl record store here, YesterDaze Records, for any vinyl hounds (like me!) who may want to find rare records. There are also several thrift stores in the area, and the town of Walhalla is also worth a visit, too. The Lowry Inn was a total surprise and unexpected pleasure!…

We stayed at The Lowry House Inn because we were in the area house hunting. We could not have chosen better! We checked in after an exhausting day and were immediately offered a glass of wine and a great visit with David, the host, on the front porch. When Billie, the other host, arrived shortly after, she joined us as well. Billie went all out for breakfast, serving a delicious almond brioche French toast and mouth watering eggs benedict. Delicious! The inn is decorated in period antiques and the 1915 craftsman has been lovingly restored to perfection by David, who worked as a contractor/builder before running the inn. There are 4 lovely guest rooms to choose from, all very reasonably priced. We walked to historic downtown Seneca for dinner the first night, which was no more than 10 minutes and a few blocks from the inn. There were several good restaurants to pick from. There was a street musicl festival that night which was an added bonus. We loved our 2 night stay and have plans for a return visit. Billie and David were excellent hosts that made us feel right at home.…

We can't say enough great things about Lowry Inn. It felt like we were staying at a friends home for the weekend. The food was scrumptious! Everything you need for a relaxing fun trip! We can't wait to go back.

We loved spending the night at Lowry House B & B. The hosts were wonderful people, and had restored this beautiful VERY old home. Each room had its own bathroom, with a VERY comfortable bed. Lovely antiques all around. And breakfast was personalized and yummy. Would absolutely visit here again!

During a visit to family in Seneca, my husband and I stayed two nights in the beautiful gold room. It might seem on the small side for some, but as burgundy is my favorite color I loved it. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is divine! If our travels take us back to Seneca, we'll be staying here for certain.

My husband and I stayed here for a much needed getaway over Father's Day weekend. What a wonderful experience! The innkeepers are wonderful, hospitable, personable, fun, great cooks and a lot of fun to be with. We will definitely be back. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous as well.

Was traveling through from Atlanta to Asheville with Mom and sister. Accommodations were great, very thoughtful extras, breakfast exceeded expectations both with amount of food served and quality. Billie was empathetic towards our situation traveling with elderly mom and sent breakfast and coffee up to her room on a sweet tray. Note to travelers with elderly or inactive family members/trip mates: there are a lot of steep stairs. There is a landing for rest/catching breath but if hauling in luggage or bad COPD/asthma it may not work for you. We just had mom go up and stay up while we brought in luggage and had her take her time the few times we ventured downstairs.
