If you are looking for a Victorian Heaven, this is the Inn. The house dates from the 1880's. The interiour is filled with period peices. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The breakfast is extrodinary. To top it all off, Becky and Joe are just wonderful host. The location is just 20 miles from Charleston and convenant to the... More

I was going to Charleston for a job interview and deceided to take my mom along for company. I found this b&b online and the price was great, so I booked it. It was a wonderful experience. I've traveled to many different places and always stay at a bed and breakfast . This is not the most upscale b&b I've... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Magnolia Inn for a long weekend. We like the character of bed and breakfasts, but are always a little hesitant about how hospitable the innkeepers will be. We were SO pleased when we met Becky and Joe. They immediately made us feel like family and are both very warm and friendly people.... More

We were going to be in Summerville for a wedding and had planned to stay in downtown Charleston to do some shopping. The groom recommended the Magnolia Inn since it was close to the church and the festivities. We are so glad we took his advice. The Bruton's are wonderful, down-to-earth, God loving people. The welcomed us in and told... More

This place was a real disappointment. I felt as though I was intruding in someone's private home. I was basically confined to just the space of my room. There was not even a living room or parlor to sit in. Most of the house is used for the owner's own private space. I had to go into a hallway to... More

We went to Charleston the weekend of the Spoleto Festival (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and couldn't find a B&B anywhere near Chas. So, we decided to try Magnolia, 20 min. from "town". We are so glad we did! We stayed in the Laura Beth suite. Two huge rooms all to ourselves! Fresh roses and hydrangeas graced the dressers. Our bed... More

We happened on the Magnolia Inn after a referral from the visitor center. We were seeking an "old south" type of B&B and that's just what we got. The Inn takes you back to time’s past, and the train is wonderful, a sound you don’t hear anymore. Becky & Joe personify the word "Innkeeper" and were most helpful with recommendations... More

If you don't mind people banging and hammering, hearing loud talking from the family quarters, and bright lights from the porch shining through the transom all night long, this may be the place for you. But first ask yourself: Do sanitary conditions matter to you? If yes, then look elsewhere. There was no wrapped soap in the advertised well-stocked guest... More

My wife and another couple stumbled on the Magnolia Inn several years ago. We have returned every single year since then. A couple of us run the Cooper River Bridge Run - as mentioned in other reviews, Joe and Becky do everything possible to ensure we have a great stay - including holding breakfast for the runners until after the...
