We went away for the week-end and took our little dog along. He's very good but I was told ahead of time that there was an additional $25 charge for him. That made the room almost $100. Everyone knows that motels have to do "extra cleaning" of pet rooms. Whatever! The room smelled and there were stains in the carpet....

The pet policy is a refundable deposit of $25.00, not an outright extra charge. the $25 is returned if there is no mess by the pet in the room. We welcome pets and have more walking space than any other Deadwood establishment. Thank you, the owner.

If this visitor actually exists and stayed at First Gold, he/she would know that First Gold has over 400 parking spots and the only covered parking attached to building 3 of the 200 room complex. The only 5 tables mentioned as a restaurant is merely the after hours Deli, as our dining room seats 175 with the voted best prime...
