We thoroughly enjoyed our stay her last June. The kids still talk about the sleeping in the bear's den. The breakfasts were so tasty, and left us full well into the afternoon. Thank you Sam and Linda for a wonderful stay! More

This was our family's very first B&B experience and we were very nervous about how it would go, especially with 2 little boys along! But Sam and Linda were so very welcoming, the rooms were cute and comfortable and the food was A-MA-ZING!!!! (I told Linda one morning "that was the best breakfast I've ever eaten in my entire life"... More

We stayed two nights, and were totally satisfied. It is an inviting and interesting inn, with capable and very friendly inn keepers. Quiet and clean. More

Sam and Linda offer a top-notch product with top-notch hospitality. I guess my business background shows in referring to Mountains to Prairies as a product. A friend and I stayed in the Blum Ladle(that's off the top of my head) room which is the upper level of the house. Extremely clean. The room had a modern, somewhat luxurious western motiff.... More

My extended family had two lovely nights at Mountains to Prairies in Hill City, SD, in August 2011. Both suites were beautiful. The owners were very sweet and accomodating, and the breakfasts were very nice. I would love to stay here again whenever I am in the area. More

We loved everything about this place-Sam and Linda are excellent hosts, their grandaughters are the best little helpers. We stayed in Bessie Lees Peas and from the moment I walked in I fell in love with it. Notty pine everywhere and just so cozy and homey. It was very clean. The breakfasts were delicious.I think the beds were more comfortable than ours at... More

The owner took the time to pay attention to my sister's dietary restrictions and was absolutely wonderful about it. Wonderful. Comfy, convenient, charming, perfect. Coffee and tea made to order each day. More

Being gluten free and sugar free on the road is not easy. But the owners made it simple by providing gluten-free and sugar-free breakfasts during our stay. We came to Hill City for a family reunion but I will definitely be back to stay at this B&B - warm and charming in every way - comfy, cozy, quiet, serene, right... More

We went up to South Dakota to get away for the weekend. From the Mountains to the Prairies B&B was the bet B&B we have ever stayed at. There beds were so comfortable and they had a jet bath tub that was so nice to relax in....definately recommend staying there. More

Stayed with my family for 3 nights in late May. Great room (Chessie Lee) with loft nook for our two daughters. Cozy, clean, quiet, with great food and terrific hosts. Right in the center of Black Hills. Could not have asked for a better stay. More
