Hotel was ok - room was clean and was pet friendly with nice area outdoors. Trouble with toilet and billing was a nightmare - got over charged for the room and was told that funds would not be available for up to a week? ended up having my bank at home straighten it out after gettting chastized by the clerk... Spent 4 nights here while visiting Mt. Rushmore, Custer state park, Badlands state park, Rapid City, etc. We brought our dog, a 19 lb. shih tzu, traveling with us for the first time. Our room was in an area of the hotel that looks to be reserved for guests with dogs. The room was clean & had no indication that... More

My husband and I have stayed here twice while visiting the Black Hills. The rooms are basic but comfortable. When visiting the area, we generally spend most of our time out hiking or sightseeing and very little time in our hotel. The location is centrally located in the Hills and easy to get to Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Mt.... More

Our stay was nice in Hill City there is many shops and art stores to see. The super 8 was close to main street so you can walk to the stores and many great places to eat. The pool was not the highlight of the place the pool was really foggy we could not see the bottom of the shallow... More

Hotel was pleasant and quiet. Rooms were a little small, no fridge or microwave. Breakfast was basic, not a lot to chose from and they had trouble keeping it stocked. Hill City is a lovely place to stay, but there is not many choices for eating. We did try Rico's Mexican Restaurant (take out) food was fabulous!! More

Rooms were clean and adequate. The beds were quite comfortable. My only negative remark would be the terrible smoke smell in the hallway. All the rooms on our floor were non smoking, but the smoke odor burned my nose and eyes. I can usually take smoke (ex-smoker) but this was really extreme. The price was a bit high $125 a... More

We have stayed in many Super 8's before and have always received a good clean room for a decent rate. This was not the case in Hill City. The beds were thin and sagging. The blankets were so dirty that I did not let my children sleep with them on the bed. The breakfast room smelled horrible and the "breakfast"... More

We had a great stay at the Super 8 in Hill city. We were able to bring our dog and the staff was very friendly to him as we arrived. They were dog lovers for sure. Our room was very spacious and had a nice recliner in it. The bathroom was very nice and clean. The pool and hot tub were... More
