Our stay at this resort was such a great experience. There had been a huge wind storm that knocked out the power and the owner communicated with us that it might not be back on for our first night. He offered suggestions for other places that had power. We decided to go out for dinner and then check to see... More

We stayed in cabin 19. It was nice, there were only two of us and it was a little cramped. However, it was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and we had a great time. The inside had a sleeping nook which is specified to be for older children/young adults. I'm 26 and I slept up there. It... More

our overall experience was good, although we were very disappointed in the pool. we expected a regular size swimming pool and instead found a small pool half-filled with water and green scum. .the traffic noise made it uncomfortable to sit on the deck, however the rooms were quiet.one suggestion would be to fence in the play area, it is very close... Thank you for you review of our property. We appreciate the feedback on the playground. The pool was closed and winterized the week after Labor Day and was not open at the time of your visit. We close the pool at that time due to average daily temperatures result in minimal to no pool usage. We continue to work towards... More

We stayed for 5 days after Labor Day. One of the most affordable places in the Black Hills to stay. Conveniently located between Hill City and Keystone and central to all the sites. Room was clean with 2 Queen's, a kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink, microwave, toaster and utensils/plates. Inn has a large deck with propane grills available for use which... More

The staff was wonderful. The owners and caretakers are really friendly and helpful. We stayed there in July for 6 nights and I found it the perfect place to return to after a day of touring the Black Hills attractions. The pool was a great place for the kids to cool off and have some fun. The rooms were clean,... More

Clean and comfortable motel that is a bit outside of Hill City. Panicked a little when I saw a large group of teenagers entering the room next to ours. Either they were very quiet or the a/c drowned out noise well. Room doors open right onto the highway--might be a concern for a single woman; there is a deadbolt as... More

We stayed here last week. Our overall experience was great. The room was spotless, we had planned to rent a cabin, but the dates weren't avaliable, we could stay in a room for three days and then move into a cabin. We decided to stay in the room for our full stay. We did not regret our decision, it was... More

We stayed in one of the cabins and had a wonderful time. The interior was exactly as advertised - very clean and comfortable. The folks that run the place were relaxed and lovely. The only negative thing was that the property is located directly on a busy roadway so there is always the sound of traffic going by. The cabins... More

It was welcome to stay somewhere so clean for the price. We stayed in the motel and there was a modest continental breakfast that worked just fine for us the next day. Close to Mount Rushmore too. Staff was pleasant. If some of the motels around Rapid City scare you and you are looking for a safe and affordable option,... More

We began our stay here on July 31st and checked out on August 8th. The room we were in had 2 queen beds & a twin, which was perfect! The couple who owns this lodge also run it themselves and are super nice people. The room is spotless and very quiet--we heard no noise even from the highway. The "deck"... More
