They are a AAA motel but they DO NOT stick to the prices in the travel guide. They padded on $30.00 and we were traveling off season. They are unprofessional and rude. Do not stay here.

this motel is an excellent value. Good rates, clean rooms. This is a good clean mom and pop motel, the staff is friendly and knowlegeable about the Black Hills.

Gold star in was ok for price. The owners were extremely nice regarding allowing us to check in early. The rooms for the most part were clean except for the hair covered blankets. The Gold Star was recommended by AAA. It was clean and friendly and quiet. However, no food except stale donuts in the AM. The towels were threadbare. It is located close to some restaurants and the freeway but not close to downtown.
