This was a really great place for an overnight stop between NoVA and Memphis. Great location with comfortable rooms. Room had plenty of outlets to plug in electronics overnight. And my personal favorite - the clock was set to the right time! I have nothing negative to say.

Hotel's Favourite
We stopped here for the night on the way to Kingsport during our anniversary trip. So far everyone is nice and friendly and the hotel itself is very clean and updated. I like that it is close proximity to many restaurants, Park, hospital and the motor speedway. Rooms have a microwave and mini fridge which are s huge convenience for us since we use them a lot. We highly recommend this place and most likely will be staying here again if we are ever in the area again. Thank you staff for the hard work.

Not sure what these other people are talking about. We stayed there last night and the hotel was very nice. It was clean, didn’t smell and the desk clerk was very nice and helpful. It actually looked like it had been remodeled. The lobby was inviting and had a fireplace and it didn’t smell at all. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We always stay on the top floor so no one is above us. We were on the I-81 side but the noise was minimal and as the night wore on the noise got less and less. It never kept us awake. The breakfast was fine as it’s not meant to be a 4 star breakfast. I would definitely stay here again when I am passing through his area.

Our initial walk into the lobby after a long drive made us ask to see the room before we committed. The lobby smelled way too much like cheap room deodorizer. We knew it was covering a moldy smell, or some thing. Very dated. What we initially saw in the room made us agree to stay. When we went back outside to get our suitcases someone was smoking weed, hopefully not an employee. Very strong smell but didn’t see the person. Not great for the image of the hotel. Like other reviews mentioned, there were cracks in the ceiling of both the room and the bathroom. However, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The only negative in the bathroom was that I couldn’t figure out the showerhead, so just took a quick bath. I never did get proper Internet in the room. Websites would load but nothing was updated and no images would download for viewing (Facebook, news stories, weather, etc). I gave up since it was only one night. There were a lot of people (construction workers?) staying here, but I never heard anyone. This place is right on 81 and our room faced the highway but my wonderful little noise machine covered it right up. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

The luggage carts are awful. Broken wheels. Ours fell over & all the luggage fell off. Couldn't push it. Then the breakfast was very poor for a Hampton Inn. Greasy sausage patties, rubbery scrambled eggs. Very unappetizing. The bed was great & a nice shower too.

I wanted to give this hotel more stars mostly bc of the gracious front desk attendant ,Taylor. A breath of fresh air in this new world of lower customer service. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable . I was annoyed initially because of the 50$ pet fee.. I have a tiny well behaved crate trained chi. I asked if we could have a discount( 25$) on the fee bc of his size and behavior.Taylor was kind and did ask the manager. ( other hotels like the Iveys, Airbnb’s, La Quinta etc, have graciously done this for us.. esp meeting and knowing Sammy. ) The manager came out .. she just adamantly said no way. Ok ..no real big deal . But her appearance startled me. She did not give the professional look appropriate for a manager. She was rather disheveled clothing wise and hair askew … rather haggard unprofessional looking . Taylor should take her place!! Beautifully poised. Just saying … So I got to my room 420 and it was hot and dank.. the ac obviously not functioning properly also it was the last room on the end of the hall smack dab above the VERY noisy interstate 81.. it was like being on a speedway .. I called down to Taylor and she immediately changed my room to 200 on the opposite side of the building . This room was obviously cleaner and cooler and little traffic noise. Great customer service from this young woman. This Hampton Inn is dated . It needs a face lift for certain… peeling paint on ceilings , dirty carpet on room floor, stains on furniture . The bed I will say was a saving grace. Clean and comfortable . I was pleased though not duly impressed w the overall upkeep of this hotel . My room ended up not being close to traffic noise but directly across from the second floor exit fire door . This door was opened and closed all night and day.. making a horrendous loud metal on metal and slamming sound each time it was opened and closed.. enough to make you jump each time it opened and closed . There was a fair size gap between my door and hallway so light poured in and of course the door slamming and clanking made louder ! I probably will not stay here again. As for Taylor … she should be a front desk or manager at a five star hotel not one as run down as this one . It’s a Hilton and I am a Hilton honors member.. I did not think it was up to standard for Hilton … it wasn’t horrible but it also wasn’t the greatest experience !

Room Tip: This is a dated HI on a very busy interstate ! I’d look elsewhere if possible.

Find another hotel, unless you are Deaf! Pros: The staff was friendly. There was an empty box for complimentary ear plugs. The television already had the captioning set up. You will need it! Cons: we happened to have ear plugs in out vehicle fog sporting events. They were Not enough! The person that bought this property on a small piece of land between the freeway and a highway should be tied to a post on the property and beaten with pillows every hour for four days, so they will never do something this dumb! The truck noise and traffic noise is Non-stop! Did I mention that a hospital is across the highway and just down the street. Yes, you get to hear ambulances arrive over your ear plugs. The bathroom lacks counter space. The bathroom is built near an interior hallway and you can still hear Trucks in there over your television. This location would not work for an office building! Seriously, if you are traveling and trying to get rest for the next day of driving, Find Another Hotel!

. I called the morning I was to check in. As a diamond member I have always been able to pick my room and this time I was not. I wanted to make sure my room would be available at the check to time I listed as two. I also wanted to make sure I would be on the top floor. I was tolad that yes they would put me on the top floor and in fact would hold a room for me on the Fifth floor and they would have a room ready at 2:00 pm. The room was not ready when I arrived it took over an hour to get me a room and then I was told someone else was put in the room that I was told I would have on the fifth floor and I was put on the fourth floor. I am extremely disappointed as a diamond member. This has only happened one other time in regards to a room not available and when that happened I was still put on the correct floor and offered either an upgrade or hotel credit for food from the market and a drink while I waited. I will be here for four days and would like to know how and if these mistakes will be corrected.

Great hotel, very up to date. Good amenities (large TV, super comfortable bed, very large bathroom, well equipped gym, very good breakfast), ample parking. Check-in is easy and all electronic. Would stay again!

The room itself was tiny but it was extremely clean. The only thing that would prevent me from staying at this property again is the noise. Usually, the buzz from the air conditioner or fan will drown out sounds from the highway. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have those types of cooling units. If you plan on staying at this Hampton Inn, bring ear plugs or a portable white noise machine.
