I agree with some of the other reviews regarding staying in one of the train cars. It is unique and fun for the novelty of it but it would not work for more than 2 people. No closet to hang clothes, one worn couch, one bed, two small wooden shelves on either side of the bed and one little table with two metal type chairs. Nothing spectacular, especially for the cost. Not a lot of people around when we were there but you could hear people talking outside. The only thing complimentary was coffee. Guess we will go back to our normal hotels which run $150-$200 a night and get free bottled water! It is located in an area that you are able to walk to bars & restaurants.

The hotel was under construction so had some issues but management took care of them. The rooms are really nice and different as CHOO CHOO. Loved the look of the rooms. Staff was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the comfort of the rooms and look forward to returning soon.

Just book the stay! What an amazing place to stay! Charming atmosphere transfers you to a quaint way of life years ago. Tastefully decorated. Clean. Rooms are comfortable and the absolute BEST water pressure with a luxurious shower! The staff were the friendliest of any hotel I’ve stayed. Close to everything, especially if you’re catching a show at The Signal. Perfection! We will stay in here again for our next trip to a great city.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was wonderful as well. Very clean. Nice furnishings. Great linens although they had tucked the top sheet under the mattress so it seemed like there was not a flat sheet. The water pressure was incredible! The only negative of our stay was that there was a high school decathlon group of several dozen kids staying there that made checking in and out and walking through the lobby super challenging and took away from the luxury of the hotel itself. There were kids everywhere. Thankfully all was well and quiet in our room. We definitely plan on returning, but I will be asking if there’s a large group of kids there at the same time.

Love the uniqueness of the train car room! Very clean and the heated flooring was a nice touch. Bathroom was exceptional and pristine with a large walk-in shower and excellent water pressure. Everyone was fabulous from the front desk check-in to the restaurants to the check-out. Very friendly service and helpful. The front desk was great with recommendations for shopping and places to eat. I love that there were so many restaurants within walking distance and bars in the area. I would highly recommend this place 10/10!!!

The remodel was well executed; with the rooms being uniquely designed, and furnished. By no means your standard cookie cutter layout. Well appointed furnishings, and excellent bath, both in size, and functionality. Pleasant. Helpful staff. Our only concern was the time required to check in. Only one person at the desk during each of our three recent stays. However, it was all in all a delightful experience.

Good service and location but one star level rooms. At $450 / night the value just isn’t there. First, the service and location are stunning and convenient. Plenty of place to relax as an adult and places for the kids to run around and explore. But, and these are really big “buts”. 1. The electronic locks were installed wrong, they fixed this at 11pm but with young kids this is not ideal. 2. There is no insulation for heat/cold. We had it set to 78 and it probably hovered in the mid to low 60s at night. 3. You will hear your neighbors pushing the light switches and talking. The train will rock whenever someone goes through the stairs. Since I could hear normal conversation levels from our neighbors I can’t imagine what the kids sounded like for them. 3. The deadbolts don’t work. We had to move rooms once and they were installed wrong on both. This prevents you from keeping people out when sleeping. 4. Hot water lasts between 10-15 minutes. Traveling with young kids this was a significant problem. There’s a lot of potential here but right now until the hot water, locks, and insulation is fixed this is more of a daytime novelty than the luxury hotel they are priced as.

Great experience, wonderful place with awesome staff. Renovations to the hotel are very nice. Everything is so clean and fresh. Stayed in a railcar for two nights, very romantic and relaxing. The location is great and everything is in walking distance. Cory gave us great recommendations for restaurants and public transportation upon check in. Hope to visit again soon!

What an amazing hotel, the prices are very reasonable, we stayed in one of the train cars with a private bedroom, private bathroom with a heated floor, so well decorated, it’s like going back in time and traveling in a Pullman car. Everything was perfect. The train car was super clean, wonderful bathroom with a full shower, the way the cars are parked, are perfect, gas lights outside, and we only had to walk 50 feet to Elsie‘s daughters restaurant on the property, I will review that separately as it was also excellent, and recommended by hotel chalet. From the moment we checked in our stay went perfect, Molly and Lily at the front desk were excellent hosts, made sure we had everything we needed, when the rain started they checked us out a two person umbrella to get to the restaurant. Management clearly cares about what’s going on at this property, as all the staff are courteous, polite, and super professional. The location is also excellent, right downtown Chattanooga, we were able to walk to everything, I highly recommend this hotel, and staying in a train car, if you are capable of climbing, a few steps, and especially if you enjoy trains.
