Stayed in Castlemurray on a wet Friday night - view of the sea invisible due to the weather. obviously management couldn't do anything about that. Found the bedroom small and very dated. Had dinner - very very disappointing. Read reviews re their food - ordered the prawn & monkfish starter - very poor and grossly overated. My wife & I... More

Up to Donegal from Wicklow, less than a 4 hour drive but always worth it. Especially if the scuba diving is good and i always stay in the castle Murray. Arrived Friday at about 12, and was greeted by the gorgeous Kelly who unfortunately is getting married, joking congrats. Teas and coffees and scones, then off for our first dive.... More

What can I say. Just back from another great meal and great night. Not forgetting the great breakfast of course. We have been going to Castle Murray for about 15-16 years and it never disappoints. We always aim to try a different starter but once you read prawns and monkfish in garlic butter you are teased back. Our journey takes... More

For those thinking of visiting the Bedrooms are themed so you can go online and preview before you book. The staff are helpful and will... More

As part of an annual house party of sixteen friends, we have just come back from Castle Murray with wonderful memories of a splendid weekend in this very special place. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and all have a sea view.Looking out over the bay, an inlet of the Atlantic, the constantly changing colours and moods of the sea... More

We stayed in room number 9, the room was spacious and very clean, bedroom very comfortable, we had a fantastic sea view from both windows. With the tea facilities in the bedroom, there were 2 cookies, homemade and delicious. The food in the hotel was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. In the restaurant there are several tables overlooking the bay... More

Tasty yes but do they need so much garlic butter? I chose the fillet steak for main course which was very nice, but why a surcharge of 5 euro? It was served with... More
