perhaps a relic of the celtic tiger this is definitely a cut above the standard B&B but at the end of the day for the price, its still just a B&B and perhaps should lower their fees. Just one night at this b and b in central Portlaoise whilst attending a conference nearby. Nice furnishings, bed linen and excellent breakfast room/breakfast and free car parking at rear. If there were any 'could do better' areas I would suggest offering guests cuppa on arrival and maybe even a smile! Otherwise no complaints. More

I have stayed here 5 times in the last 7 years while going to Electric Picnic and it's been great every single time. Jerry and Dina are great hosts and their house is beautiful.
